New Post Submission Time Out Issue
« on: January 13, 2012, 11:29:35 AM »
Hello,

I just wanted to get some help with this issue. I have written 10 variations of an article and spun each one to a good amount and I am trying to upload them as 1 article into the system. I have never had issues with adding articles until this point, and I think it is due to the size of the article. Once I try to preview the article, I get this error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/waylinks/public_html/functions.php on line 271

The size of the text in the article, including the title, is less than 150KB.. and my internet connection here is fine. That leads me to believe that the system is taking a bit of time reading through my entire huge article. Is it possible that the timeout limit in functions.php can be increased to maybe 60 pr even 90 sections? I look forward to your response and thanks for this amazing tool.

That error is a server error so it's not to do with your pc.

Probably something related to the size of the article or something like that because it's saying that the system wasn't finished processing the task within the allotted time frame of 30 seconds.

I both understand and agree with what you are saying. For that reason I have requested in this thread that the time out be increased to 60 or hopefully 90 seconds. I would hate for it to be reset to 60 seconds, and 65 seconds is needed... then I'd have to make a request for an increase again. Maybe I am waaaaay off for whatever the fix will be, but I am hoping I will be able to submit this article. I look forward to a response as to how I should proceed.

Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the simple suggestion.
