All content from ArticleBuilder. Yet Site Rejected!!!
« on: December 19, 2011, 04:33:25 AM »
Hi Jon,

I can understand the guys at 3WL doing searches for terms like sex and rejecting any sites having anything to do with these. But I have a site - [snip: please do not put urls in here] - where all content comes from ArticleBuilder. And that has been rejected by 3WL team.

Can you please:

1. Ask the team at AB to not use terms that 3WL will reject.
2. Filter current AB database for any such terms?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Ashish.

Can you PM me a url of the rejected content?

But to answer your questions: no. The two services serve different purposes. You have to make sure your content follows the 3WL guidelines wherever it comes from.

Jon

Thanks again.

Best Regards,

Ashish.

That first paragraph should not have made it passed the review process. I'll look into it.

I removed the "offending" article and resubmitted (STOP POSTING THE URL--READ THE RULES PLEASE) . This time, it was declined again with the following response:

Quote
Site Declined : Contents about dating/relationship issues or 'looking for a life mate' is not allowed in the network. There isn't a complete list of content that we can't take because there are sites which may not qualify dependent on *exact* content. To give you the most likely types of content we exclude: ANY religion or religious and faith *related* content, ALL holidays (in the religious festival sense of the word, not vacations), meditation, yoga 'unofficial' faiths - wicca, paganism, withcraft, sorcery, hypnotism, tarot, astrology, tattoos, festivals/occasions that are faith based in nature such as Christmas, Easter, Baptism, Christening, strong political content, divorce related issues, getting your ex back, romance, gambling, anything of a sexual nature, breast/penis enhancement surgery/products, download sites that break copyright laws, any sites with overtly sexy images, adult only content etc.

There is nothing sexual on the site. Nothing to do with any religion. Its just a bland blog with all content coming from AB.

Who do I contact Jon?

This is getting increasingly frustrating.

Its like the left hand of your company is not talking to the right hand.

I believe I have been very polite. But this is getting very annoying, especially when I am paying for both the services.

Please help.

Best Regards,

Ashish.

Hi Ashish,

I had a look at your site: lemarketeer, it's very well written and looks good too.

However, I would say that these lines are raising a red flag: "Having trouble meeting a significant other in your life? Try meeting someone on the Internet. There have been quite a few couples these days that have met on the web. Who knows?" I realize that this may come from Article Builder, but I reckon it slipped through the editing process, as it conflicts with the guidelines. (In my opinion you'd be daft to look for a life partner on the Internet - an individual would expose themselves to far too much risk).

I am sure that Jon will correct this. In the meantime you could insert another phrase here. How about: "Maybe you feel a little isolated? Why not get involved in some forums on the Internet? There are sure to be forums on subjects that take your interest."

Thanks for this input.

I have removed the offending article and have resubmitted the site.

The issue I have is that the entire content of this site is coming from ArticleBuilder and as such, I would assume it to meet your guidelines.

In the meantime, here's hoping...

Hi Ashish,
You are quite right about that - I'm sure it's only a matter of time before all of these glitches are removed.

You have to make sure your content follows the 3WL guidelines wherever it comes from.
Hi Ashish, You also need to bear in mind what Jon said above. It is possible that AB will produce some information that will not pass the 3WL requirements. It's just a matter of reading through and tweaking the articles a little.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, when there are 500 articles (2 AB account) getting produced and pumped across 50 sites daily, it becomes a bit difficult :-)

We don't have any intention to produce anything that is deemed objectionable. And as such, all our content comes from AB.

Thanks again guys for your feedback.

Dont feel bad my site got rejected for using the word sexy in relation to most searched for halloween costumes in 2011 " sexy cop uniform" It was in a trends post about searched for keyword phrases nothing to do with adult content etc etc...

lol yet one site linking to another my sites in the 3 way links network talks about a lady saying she got pregnant at 13 weeks after she had sex....

{specific identifying text removed}

Sort of finding it a bit hard to swallow sexy police uniform under halloween costumes no pictures or links to anything off that nature just the phrase as part of a search trend for 2011 (my site is a seo site) yet the above content is allowed...

If you actually looked at the site you're talking about, you'll see that that content was posted by a visitor to the site as a comment, not the site owner.  And that comment was posted long after the site was reviewed for inclusion in 3WL.

But even if it hadn't been, should one reviewer approve your site that violates the terms just because another reviewer slipped up and approved something that shouldn't have been? Obviously not.

I deleted the last post made here by nzpcs. This issue is closed. No sites with sexual content will be allowed into the system. The reviewers do a good job.

END OF STORY.
