How well-indexed are the network sites?
« on: December 21, 2011, 02:45:43 AM »
Hi guys,

I can see 15 sites with live back links to one of my site. Of course, can't see the link on each one. But I am sure you have it covered.

The issue is when I check inbound links using something like SEO Spyglass, I cannot see any of these.

So the question is - how are these inbound pages getting indexed? How often is google picking them up and indexing them? And if they change, are these guys updating their sitemap.xml file?

Hope I am not asking for too much.

Best Regards,

Ashish.

Ashish,

I am in 3wl from Day One and I must say this is the most useful of my subscriptions till date. Just riding on this, I am at Top 1-3 in important keywords that provide me my bread and butter.

Sometime back, I had collected all the linking pages url's and directed links at them from other sites by making sets of rotating footer links. Now even the urls are made available. You might consider this.

If your site is quality, 3wl will make it a winner.

Regards
SNM

Hi Ashish

the question is - where does SEO Spy glass get its data from.
Formerly most tools I know got their data from Yahoo site explorer which was recently shut down.
There are better alternatives now:
E.g. Openlinkgraph.com or
opensiteexplorer.com to name two.
Nevertheless those tools get their data from crawling the web. And although there are paid services behind those, they have far more limited means for web crawling than goolge has.
google has a link: command, too but it is known for years that it only shows a fraction of the links google knows about.
There is only one valid way to know whether your links from 3waylinks do count.
take the links page from the "links in" page and test them all whether they are indexed.
If the links page is indexed, you can also be sure that the link counts.
