Site Validated and Approved. Been over 5 days, no links at all.
« on: January 12, 2012, 04:20:32 AM »
My site has been validated and approved, with the plugin installed, yet I have not seen any links at all for over 5 days. Not really pleased with that, is there something up with the service?

Only 5 days? It's been two weeks for my sites and also no links at all.

Is there anyone alive from admins on this forum? What exactly am I paying for if it's been weeks since my domains are approved and I still don't have any links?

Jon, instead of asking everyone who posts about the slowness in getting links to put up a support ticket, why not update us here on the forum on the reasons of the delay?

I know there's been a large improvement in terms of the no. of links we are getting recently and you needed time to implement that. And most likely that's the reason for the delay. But let us know here how's the status, problems, update on new problems, etc. I'm sure most of us will be understanding if you can be transparent about the backend issues.

I'd appreciate if you could provide a periodic update on the network instead of being silent about it.

If I had anything to post, it would be posted. Until I had something to post there was no point.

As soon as I knew something I sent out an email to all members. You should have already received it.

I have received the email. And I have 475 incoming links scheduled finally. This bug affected 3 of my sites in the network.

Seems like I thought you knew about the bug and were trying to solve it. But actually you didn't know about the bug and that caused the delay?

One thing I notice about the 475 incoming links is that they are all the same for all 3 of these sites, i.e. the linking urls are all the same for all 3 sites. Is there something you can do to differentiate these incoming links Jon? I've attached a summary of these links below and they are the same at each of the 3 sites:

all links
pagerank   links
PR2   4
PR1   8
PR0   22
PR-1   441

No, that's just how it works when you put in multiple sites at the same time. They'll get links from the same sites most of the time (not always, but generally).

Unless your sites are hosted on the same IP and targeting the same keywords, though, that shouldn't be an issue. Even if you ARE doing those things, it still probably isn't an issue, though of course there's more of a chance that it could be in those circumstances.

Also, FYI, I'm running a script to update the PageRank of those -1 sites. That was due to a bug in the PageRank checking routine (which has now been fixed).

Glad to hear that Jon.

Also, I notice some incoming links to one of my sites are from my other sites in the network, so the links could be from the same IP. Do you have plans to revise the script to exclude incoming links from sites from the same customer?

Hmm... that shouldn't be happening. I'll look into it.

Okay, this should be corrected now. Any live links will remain, but all links that hadn't gone live yet where your sites are linking to each other have been removed and will be replaced with new links going forward.

I appreciate it Jon.

Just to be sure that I understand you correctly: all of my sites in 3WL will no longer be linking to each other going forward, irrespective of whether they are hosted in different IP addresses or not.

You've corrected this by customer-basis and not based by IP address, eg. I have sites hosted in different IP addresses but they are all my sites.
