Why I missed incoming messages?

I have been used to the old forum facility that flagged at the top of the forum pages mentioning about new messages received.

In the new software version, this doesn't seem to be working.

This is useful for people who do not visit their Message Box often.

Can the old feature be revived?

Shiv, It is on my computer, has been since Jon updated the forum. Have no idea
why it would not have updated showing all the features on yours, is it possible
that your spam blocker is stopping it??

I also have it set up so that I receive an email each time someone makes a post
on a site that I have posted on. That lets me know in advance when there is
something new on the forum that I am interested in... Handy!!

Thanks, Joyce. I actually found out from the email copy that I discovered a few days late. I have different emails for different things! I receive too many too.

So easy to do!!

A heck of a lot of spam comes in, therefore I give mailing list, etc. an
email address that I don't go to each day! Gotta pick and choose or
you would never get any work done!

The number of new messages is now prominently displayed, possibily as a result of some tweaks on Profile.
