Error Message comes up when I try to use Answer Analyst
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:41:37 AM »

An error message comes up when I try to use Answer Analyst version 1.44.  I just purchased this and so far I'm pretty disappointed with it.

When I clicked on it to use it, I get this error message:

Access to the pat 'C:\Program files (x86)\AnswerAnalyst\license.txt' is denied.
See the end of this message for details on invoking

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Re: Error Message comes up when I try to use Answer Analyst
« Reply #1 on: February 13, 2011, 05:52:45 AM »

I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work, because I used the registration code I was sent.

I kept fiddling with it, and re-installed the .NET Framework 2.0, though I already had it on machine and then rebooted. And tryied the Answer Analyst software again. This time, I got the following error message when it got to 16/16 paring, while looking up my keyword.

Answer Analyst 1.44
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

However, when I clicked on continue, it just sat there, doing absolutely nothing.  I very disappointed!  It almost made it through the search.  But almost is not good enough.

I really hate it when you pay nearly $100 for software that doesn't work.

Can anyone help me with this, because I'd really like to use the software.

Thanks so much for your help,

Fortunately, this software has been working great for me! It's one of my favorites.. along with Keyword Snatcher.  ;D

You need to right-click the program application and Run As Administrator.

I purchased the product also and am having the same trouble. I right clicked Answer Analyst and put in the registration code and I still get the same code. I contacted support and never got any response. That was three days ago.

I purchased Answer Analyst along with WebCamp Analyst,WebDate JPareser, and Keyword Snatcher. The only one that works is Keyword Snatcher. I get an error message when I put in the registration code that I was given. I right clicked on the applications and tried putting in the registration code and got the same error message.

I went back and clicked to "run as administrator" and reentered the registration code and it worked this time. Thanks

I get 2 error messages: one regarding a Value of 6 and the other stating unable to find the license. I deleted the old version and installed the new one as administrator. When having to input my reg code, I get the errors. Even when upgrading the software, I had to enter the reg code and that's when the  exception errors began to occur. I have a support ticket in. We will see what happens. In the meanwhile, I am unable to use my software.

I went back and clicked to "run as administrator" and reentered the registration code and it worked this time. Thanks
Run as Admin works for me, however, twice, after using AA it suddenly started getting the same error code as mentioned at the beginning of this thread. Not sure why that would happen, but I saved, closed and reopened as Admin and it works fine.
