Can I use htaccess to block all users from wp-login except AB and me?

0 Members and 1 Guest are viewing this topic.

I have been using a deny/allow pair in my htaccess so only my home computer's IP can open the wp-login.php file. Is Article Builder's posting method affected by that? If not, is the method it uses open to abuse? Further comments / advice.

Thank you

Richard

I don't know the answer, maybe somebody else does - or you can raise a support desk ticket. However, it will only take you a moment to check it for yourself. ;)

If you set up the .htaccess rule you can then do a test post from your ArticleBuilder account. If it works, then you have your answer, and if not, well, that's an answer too.

If you are looking for ways to protect your logins there are more flexible ways to do the job. We use a plugin called WordFence that gives good protection, of the type you seek, if you want it and yet it works, at least as we configure it, perfectly with ArticleBuilder.
