Can anyone recommend an alternative to HostNine?

I've had nothing but problems hosting my sites there.

Videomike (moderator on here) recommended a couple to me some years ago and they have been fine. I don't know if he has any new recommendations

The only one I remember is Indianets.com

Hostgator: don't mess about with your site installs much, give you adequate resources and support is still way better than many other 'cheap' services.

As with all hosting though, make sure that the configuration meets your needs and that you buy adequate resources.

They are still the only firm that I can recommend as not being likely to mess up your inline business in the low cost hosting marketplace.

However as the firm is now owned by Endurance International Group it is probably worth looking at their other hosting brands as well as they share support back end and agents.

I've had nothing but problems hosting my sites there.

I know the feeling... I've switched like 3 times in the past year.
I started off with GoDaddy (VPS) - moved out of there as they were a bit pricey
BlueHost - didn't like their UI
InMotionHosting - their server was down every second day. It was absolute joke

Now, Im back to GoDaddy. Unfortunately I've had to bite the bullet and just stuck it up. You do get what you pay for I guess. No issues at all except for the price tag.

There are so many dodgy reviews about hosting companies online that you don't know who to trust. For me, it was basically trial and error. InMotionHosting had a superior product at an awesome price. However, what good was it when it was down half the time.
