Article Rejected - Can't Tell Why
« on: May 30, 2010, 05:46:06 PM »
Hi,

This article has been posted on Gather and appears to be fine to me. The article links to and opens the correct web page. However, when I enter the link in the C4L system to get credit, I receive the error message:

"Link to ... not found on page."

Here's the link to the article. Can anyone see a problem?

http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978268133

Thanks.

Jenny

Jenny, In order for anyone on the forum to be able to help you, you need to post the
exact wording in the html that you used and also copy & paste the wording that was
assigned to you by C4L for the html.

IE:  /">article spinning software</a> you used
/">article spinning software </a> maybe you used
/">Article spinning software</a> you were assigned.

But check your html and make sure that it there are no spaces, comma's, quote marks,
etc.  Your link would still work, but the exact wording and spacing does not match what
was assigned. That is usually that it is, when it is rejected. It must match exactly in
order to be paid.

If there are no errors visible to you, post exactly what you put in the html & what you
were assigned.  Somebody will tell you what is wrong. :D

Later,

Joyce

The HTML code for your link is...
Code: [Select]
<a target="_blank" href="http://thebestspinner.com" title="Article Spinning Software">article spinning software</a>
It seems fine, however, check the anchor text case and the URL. Should article spinning software be Article Spinning Software or maybe the URL should be one of the following...

instantarticlewizard.com
answeranalyst.com
instantarticlewizardpro.com

Thanks for the replies. No, no capitals are supposed to be in the link according to the page in my C4L account. Here is the html:

...you might like this <a href="http://thebestspinner.com">article spinning software</a>

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help everyone. I did finally get it to work by deleting that part of the article and then re-entering it. Somehow that made the link work.

Wish I knew 1/2 as much as you do about this stuff.

Hi Joyce,

I got that code from the HTML source of Jenny's post on gather.com

Note: when you go to view the source code for gather.com it almost seems blank at first, but if you scroll down you should start to see the code.

Hope this helps.

I am having a similar problem

http://www.articleslash.net/Kids-and-Teens/558909__Things-To-Consider-When-Shopping-for-Baby-High-Chairs.html

this is the link for an article I submitted for the anchor text  "article spinner" linking to the best spinner site.

It is being rejected though when I submit this link for verification saying no link found.

Pls help.

Laddoo,

I posted the following to another member having the same problem on this thread
several day ago.

Check your html and make sure that it there are no spaces, comma's, quote marks,
etc which are in the wrong place.
Your link would still work, but the exact wording and spacing does not match what
was assigned. That is usually that it is, when it is rejected. It must match exactly
in order to be paid.

IE:  /">Article spinning software</a> maybe you were assigned
/">article spinning software</a> maybe you used
/">article spinning software </a> maybe you used

See the difference in the spacing or lettering.

You need to post the exact wording in the html that you used and also copy & paste
the wording that was assigned to you by C4L for the html.

If there are no errors visible to you, post exactly what you put in the html & what you
were assigned
.  Somebody will tell you what is wrong.

Good luck and happy writing,

Joyce
