Is anyone noticing email notification for new links
« on: August 09, 2010, 08:05:00 AM »
Hi John,

I have not got a single link notification in last 20 or 25 days.

What has been going on? i mean is it stopped to get email notification and still getting links or there are no links.

I'm wondering the same thing, haven't gotten an email in a long time now. Obviously some have since they have been paid for July.  ???

Guys,  :D

Don't be to concerned about this, there have been several times
when the articles don't start coming in till at least the middle of
the month.

And keep in mind that Jon started this program especially to help
us get our links on the net. So he will not allow it to fail!  ;)

The advertisers are helping Jon by paying for their links to be ALL
over the net also, we just have to be patient and remain optimistic
that the advertisers will continue to appreciate our efforts and
we also should provide them with quality articles for their money.  ::)

Mimi,

The emails we received were from Paypal, not from C4L.  They were payment notifications!  :D

In my post about receiving payments, Jon had a message explaining why the payments were
a few day's late, but again - that was a Paypal message, not C4L message.

But alias, when I got up this morning there was indeed a message from C4L telling me that there
were 3 links available.

The message had been sent around 6am - I got up and turned my computer on at about 10:30am,
so 'notta gotta link yet!''  :'(

I never got that message!

I don't want to seem negative here but whats the point in starting such a system if after a few wekks of setting it up you (John) is going to move onto another project?

I know you might be saying to yourselves, 'ah but I'm sure Jon has got people inplace to look after and maintain the system' and that may very well be the case but as many of us have come to see THE LINKS HAVE DRIED UP. You can tell when a system is on the decline just by looking at the activity of its community via its forum - again we can all see that there is very little going on.

Just to reiterate, I am not knocking Jon or the system at all, I'm just frustated when a great system like C4L comes along but seems to fade away....... what a shame!

Raj Sidhu,

Don't you realize that most businesses at this time of year (especially in the US) are slow.

Not only are many of the advertisers on vacations with their families, but the economy is
DOWN, and quite possibly some of the start-up businesses that had been advertising
through C4L simply can not afford to pay others to do their writing.  :'(

In addition, 'You are mistaken about Jon just moving on to another project, he does not run
his business in that manner.'
He can/does have a multitude of projects and does justice
to each of them. If there is a problem with one of his projects, he handles it.
C4L was started to help the writer, not to help Jon~  ;)

He will see it through to the end, there may be less links available from outside advertisers
simply due to the quality of the some of the writers articles, and the placement of the advertisers
link, or even that the writers chose to submit to article sites which are fast and easy for them,
but do little good for the advertiser.

We all need to keep in mind, when we do receive links: 'We work for the advertiser, and
therefore we should do the best job we can for them!  Even if we feel we are working for
peanuts! We knew what we were making when we accept an article! At that time the advertiser
is our BOSS!  As such they can fire us anytime they want to!'

I personally feel part of the problem the advertisers have with C4L is that a few of the writers do
not care if they write satisfactory (well read) articles or not - 'Just send me the money!'

Also, I received NO links emails for July until the 15th of July, then again on the 21th, and 25th.

If you are not getting emails from C4L, you should check the email address they have listed
for you, and also verify that they have been added to your contacts.  Some of the email clients
just delete (instead of sending to spam folder) anything not listed in your contact list. ::)

This statement of yours clarifies the point I was trying to make. You say that the writers are submitting to directories which are fast and easy to do so - well lets not forget that the places that we can submit to have been approved by Jon! If some of them are not benefitting the advertisers then why are they still available to be submitted to?

Raj Sidhu,

I totally agree!!!!!! You are 100% right! ;)

But, I also understand that many of the writers need the links confirmed
ASAP and that is probably the reasoning behind where they post.

It would be nice if there were a better way for C4L to operate, but it appears
what he have is what we get, at least for the moment.

This current "system" is so lame its not really worth taking the time to do it when your time can be put to far better use building your own web sites and apps (much better money-wise). In fact, a really good writer ought to be concentrating on building their own web sites and promoting products instead of passing this money onto these advertisers.

Today, even a non-programmer can have nifty software made up for little money and sell it for good to great profits. Just include well-written instuctions (a rarity that will set your products apart!).

Just my two cents.  8)
