Problem with links
« on: May 12, 2010, 08:47:48 AM »
Jonathan -

I guess I'm finding all the bugs? Here's another problem, this time with Article City. Here's a quote from the article submission page:

"Please enter your short bio text and copyright clause here
(for the "About The Author" box)
Note: URLs are allowed but HTML code are automatically stripped out.

Author's Web Site Address:
Enter only your main domain. Mutiple entries will be discarded."

I don't see how I can submit your url and mine both. And even if I could, it wouldn't be a link if the HTML code is "stripped out".

BTW, I'm not willing to submit your link to Ezine Articles. I just had a h*ll of a time gaining my Platinum membership, since, according to them, I violated their TOS too many times. ( Twice, I violated a rule that didn't exist - proved it too them - and they refused to back down! - so I was forced to back down or lose permission to submit any more articles. ) So I'm not willing to lay my new-found status on the line!!

How is adding Jon's link going to get you into trouble? Instead of adding two links of your own pointing to two of your url's, you are adding one of yours and one of Jon's.

I don't understand how you can think this is a problem? I am a platinum ezine writer as well with nearly 300 article submissions, and it certainly isn't going to be an issue with me.

Thanks for the note Professor.  I guess I'll have to remove ArticleCity from the list.

If those are the rules laid down by Article City, how exactly does it benefit people to submit their articles to them? Aren't they getting these articles FOR FREE? A proper link is the least they can give.  ::)

Jon, is there a new list that I don't know about?

From the first post in the C4L, showing the directories we can submit to, I have not seen ArticleCity..
Still showing
  • EzineArticles.com
    ArticleDashboard.com
    iSnare.com
    Buzzle.com
    ArticlesFactory.com
    ArticleBiz.com
    TheFreeLibrary.com
    ArticlesAlley.com
    Gather.com
    ArticleSlash.net
    SooperArticles.com
    ArticleBlast.com

Unless I'm missing something.
