Adsense manual site review

I guess some of you are playing with Adsense and I was wondering what are your experiences with manual site reviews by Adsense staff, if any.

The only Adsense type sites I've built in the past were rather large, authority sites so the amount and quality of content on my sites wasn't an issue. Now I've decided to go with a somewhat different strategy and I was wondering how far should/can I go...

So my questions are...

1) How 'thin' can a site be to pass a manual review?

Do you think only auto-bloggers, garbage-content sites will get deranked/banned or does it also happen to sites that are simply small, i.e. 5-15 page websites with good articles but clearly without any other commercial intent than Adsense?

2) Do you think a certain number of sites under one account (i.e. 50, 150, 250) or a certain volume of impressions/clicks/revenue triggers a manual review?

If you've had any sites banned from Adsense or you think some of your sites passed a manual review successfully and you can provide some details that would be just fantastic...

1. When an adsense site starts earning significantly in the particular niche, there is a manual review and I have had sites de-indexed for legitimate link building just because, in the view of the reviewers, the quality of the site did not merit that sort of number of links. Number of pages is not the only issue.

2. Yes, the number of sites in an account will also invite manual review.

On the other hand, without adsense on the sites, these type of sites do better on SERPs because adsense manual review team do not get to interfere. This is my experience.

I have a practically one-page site that gets me offline income which is holding its position in top 3 in G for years without any problem.

I believe adsense team expects exceptional authority sites of upwards of 50 pages to begin with to stay comfortably with adsense.

On the other hand there are stories of old authority sites which had already passed manual reviews can be played around with without much of a problem.

Without a good position in SERPs an adsense site may not be that attractive.

Can I ask why are you adding sites to your adsense account.

Once approved you can put your code on any website as long as it complies with adsense guidelines

Two quotes from Google

"Yes, once you are approved you can use your code in any of your sites, so long as they meet all the Adsense terms and conditions."

"If you already have an Adsense account, you can generate and paste Adsense code on any site of your's provided that the sites meet Adsense Guidelines and Program Policies."

Just my thoughts
