Hello from So.Cal!
« on: January 10, 2012, 06:40:32 PM »
Hello :)

I just found the forum from buying one of JL's products (3WL) per a recommendation of a well known successful blogger.

About my internet-marketing self: started internet marketing last year, have been failing a lot, made pretty much no money,  I also quite got distracted easily and really didn't know what I was doing.  I still don't know much but I do it in more of a focused manner now :D  I am finally following three very closely related blogging products and a few months ago re-started my internet marketing career (version 1.1 I suppose).   One of the products recommended 3WL and I bought last week and then found this forum

I've lurked quite a bit in this forum the last week or so...love it.  And finally am joining.  I feel silly because I feel like I know quite a few of you already from reading so many posts ...  :D  - this is a great forum!  Just the right size too for my tastes!! (Warrior Forum can be quite overwhelming).  I'm  excited to re-start my journey in internet marketing.

About my non-internet-marketing self: I love reading books, watching movies, and running.  I enjoy my job as a unix/linux engineer.  And the bit of fun trivia: my wife and I met swing dancing 12 years ago and today still we teach swing dancing and hold a monthly swing dance.  Anyone here find themselves in So.Cal and want to go swing dancing I'll hook ya up! ;)

Thanks, happy to be here.

Hi,

Your glad to be here and we're glad to have you! 8) Sounds like a match
made in Heaven to me!

I guess I could tell you that if you had any SEO or IM questions I would be
happy to help you, but if you've been hanging around here for a few days
you know that ain't gonna happen!! I know diddly about IM or SEO! ::)

What I can tell you that if you have a question about anything internet related
you have come to the right place. We have quite a few real experts in almost
any field you could need.

About 'Warrior', compared to JLForum, it don't compare! Very cluttered and
confusing (for me that is) and I am a member of Warrior, I just don't use it.
Jon's forum is so well formatted and easy to get around that I love it!

A tip you probably already have figured out, just in case you don't you can
have any number of emails sent to you when anyone makes a new post on
a subject you are interested in. ??? Comes in handy when you don't have a lot
of time.

If you have not done so, put yourself on our map in your bio!!!

Again welcome,

HoneyJo

Thanks HoneyJo :)

While I like the warrior forum, that place just got too overwhelming and it definitely showed in my approach to internet marketing.  I had no idea where to start and ended up trying too many things out ..it  was very frustrating, though it is my fault because I was so attracted by the many shiny things (I think I was on up to 50 mailing lists at a time because of all the opt in and free product!).  I've stopped going there except once in awhile to browse through the services now and the WSOs (from wso of the day emails).

Eventually I got my act together about November timeframe.  It took me quite a bit of discipline to really shut the door and just have faith in a few methods and products.  Hasn't been bad so far at all.

That's one thing I really love here at this forum: so much great info, but not overwhelming and easy to digest... reading just the "Ask Jon A Question" has been enlightening.  The fact that Jon has such faith in his linkbuilding products (and other products) really helps my own faith that you can really just keep things very simple and succeed - makes it easy to shut the door on all the other noise which while viable just makes it hard to focus.

It's really been educational the last week... I've been skimming through just about every topic and post  (I'm currently halfway through the 1waylinks forum).  So many members know so much great information, not to mention a lot of members just keeping things light and fun too!

Just today I decided to start a tally of the members I enjoy seeing on here
Jorchav (amazing knowledge)
HoneyJo (good questions, a lot of fun to read your posts)
Jonathan Leger (of course!  his faith in his products is amazing)
VideoMike (great knowledge)
supersi (his document on 1wl alone ... !!! When I'm ready for this I'm using your affiliate link)
AndyB (proactively opening tickets when he finds something amiss, and posting here about it and responding about it)
andrewwilson (good stuff to share)

and that's just the start of it.

Can you tell so far I really like this forum? Hope one day I can be a valuable contributor of knowledge... for right now I'm looking forward to learning and being a student!

See you guys around :D

GAAH! How come no-one ever takes me seriously?? ???

But, I'm sure glad I made your list!

You are right about everyone on your list being a specialist in their categories!

In addition, if you are interested in Jon's writing programs, you should check out ALL of Meg's post
and her links! She knows more about TBS, and IAW than anyone on the forum with the exception
of Jon (we gotta include him cause he wrote the programs). ;)

Seriously, If you don't learn here, you are not capable of learning.

Additionally, I also used Warrior on a regular basis and have spent a small fortune on programs that
I bought from there. I agreed with you that it is good for certain things 'Especially purchasing things
you will never use!'. I use very few items that sounded so very good when I bought them..

**Note: I have never bought a program from Jon that is not used!!!!

I'll take what you say seriously :)

In fact I really appreciate your comments and also your unwavering faith in the JL product line.  That really helps a newbie like me - I can leverage the faith others have in what they're doing.

Thanks!  I wasn't before but I just did start checking out The Best Spinner and the Article Builder ...wow.. that was mindblowing.  I don't have a use for them just yet but it's definitely good to know it's out there!

That's the kind of stuff I really like to read and soak in.  Thank you so much!  :D  I've spent a ..well, not a small fortune, but a significant amount of money on my first year internet marketing just from hanging out at the warrior forum and buying services and software and courses.   Because I kept seeing the next best thing and the sites I ended up putting out were... well, just imagine you want to cook some pasta sauce and you hear someone say "You need to add catsup! It's the best condiment in the world!" so I add it.  Someone else says "Sweet and sour sauce is the best condiment in the world!" so I add that.  Then mustard. Then chocolate sauce.  Then maybe diced tofu..   and so on..and that's the stuff I ended up with ...

I'm doing better now with focus, and from reading on this forum how JL simplifies a lot of things and just uses his own products for the most part ...  very refreshing.

Thanks for the response HoneyJo!

Thank you for the nice compliment Emil,

You are so right about the next best thing!! ;) That's history for me!

And yes, I do brag on ALL of Jon's products and the forum (lots of help here)...

There is a very simple explanation for that and it is Jon backs what he sell's!

With most of his products we have a chance to get in on a Beta test, and give Jon
feedback before he releases the program (dates of release are based on the feedback
he receives)... ;D  He will give us an appx. date, but often lets us continue to use the
program free while he makes sure it is operating properly.

And after we buy a program, Jon does not quit, if there is a problem; he makes sure
it is corrected as soon a humanly possible
... Actually, he does this even when the
problem lies with us, and is not a programing problem!

That why I'm known as one of Jon's cheer leaders? I like a man who keeps his word,
and have found them few and far between when it comes to a program purchase!

Have a great evening/or day,

HoneyJo

That's a great simile and that exactly describes how I feel at times!  ;D
