ARRRGGGGGG!!!!! PLEASE can we have an autosave feature?
« on: September 20, 2010, 04:47:57 AM »
I have just begun using IAF and it is a superb tool for cranking out articles. By creating your own templates as well as the basic ones provided it is a huge time saver for people like me who use a lot of articles.

However, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with constanly almost finishing an article only to lose the whole lot when I accidently hit the wrong button and everything vanishes.

Is it possible to install an auto save feature into the tool please?

I'm sure other users will have done the same thing. I accept it is my own fault for hitting a wrong button but the fact this is allowed to happen surely means improving it so this does not happen or some sort of autosaving will allow users to recover their work.

PLEASE consider this feature ASAP.

I agree about the autosave.  Especially as I tend to do longer articles 800-1500 words.

There are times either the internet or the computer refreshes or there is a lapse in connection and it is frustrating, heartbreaking, paranoia-inducing to realize that that work is gone and then the discouraging aspect of having to rewrite and remember what you had.

Due to the nature of the program it's hard to copy and paste everything every 15-30 minutes in Word or another program JUST IN CASE!

And though the FEAR may cause one to work faster it shouldn't be due to the fact of losing material.

I would imagine this should be an easy feature (considering all the more challenging programming many of these products have included) to install in this tool.

Or perhaps a SAVE AS just so that we have a chance to save it (if auto save isn't an option).  To wait and save until the very end is an unneeded limitation to this innovative product. I've only had this program for a few days but had this happen to me on two seperate days and I can say that you don't have to push a wrong button for this to be an issue.

Also, if I wasn't so happy at the productivity and price of this program the expereience of losing my work and not being able to save until the end or autosave during ... I'd be tempted to cancel to avoid the frustration. The whole idea is to save time and work faster and when one has to REDO an article from scratch, this purpose is defeated!

Just one important way to make this program even better! Thank for the creativity and time it took to create this program.
