Is there any videos that teach you how to use this??
« on: July 19, 2010, 03:42:27 PM »
I am getting pretty frustrated!! I keep trying to write an article and I keep losing my work, there has to be a video that shows you how to use it. I am not an idiot but I am having a hell of a time trying to complete one stupid article.

I am one who previously suggested training by short videos. I was talking about creating custom templates. I didn't see a reply from Jon.

I agree that basic training by short videos would make a ton of sense. And I think it would be pretty quick and easy to do for us customers.

At least I am not alone on this, obviously the only reason I purchased was to save time but that sure has not happened. I really want to outsource the process but if I cannot write an article without messing it up how am I to teach someone else. Not to mention I tried writing a simple 7 tips article and the grammar in the text between blocks all had to be changed.

I sure hope this gets some attention, if not I will be getting a refund. I was not expecting a huge learning curve!

Yes. http://instantarticlefactory.com just has a demo "sizzle" video. I too am looking for a basic training video.

leona,

Thanks for referring me back to that video. It is basic, but I had forgotten about it. It helped to view it again.

Thank you for the link to the video! I think the problem is I must be an idiot because I have tried rewriting an article I grab from "How To" thinking it would be easy because they are written in step but unless I write everything myself they just sound ridiculous.

I hate to be such a downer, I just had such high hopes for this and I really cannot see how to use it without wasting 30 or more minutes.

If anyone has any advise that could help me to use this properly I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Howard

We all have our own way of writing things; the problem is, we very often just can't get started. Someone once called it, "the tyranny of the blank piece of paper". If you want to write an article telling people "how to" do something, sometimes it's very difficult to get started. Instant Article Factory helps you overcome that tyranny of the blank sheet of paper, or the blank screen of the word processor and actually get some words down.

The templates help you structure an article and include many of the necessary points, both for and against, or ensure you get steps done in a logical order.

Once the article is completed in IAF, you can then put it into a word processor and change it to your heart's content. You can write it in your own words, in your "own voice" as they say but it's SO MUCH EASIER to edit an article than it is to create it from scratch. I have done a lot of business writing in my time and I always found it easier to edit someone else's work than to have to write the item myself!  ;D

Meg,

Interesting perspective on the templates. You're right. The most difficult part of writing for me is looking at a blank document or blank piece of paper. What you described in terms of how IAF can be used makes sense.

Questions: Right now are you pretty much using IAF as you described? If so, are you spinning your "final" version of the article that you do in MS Word, for example? Or are you mainly creating only one article from a template?

Well just to let you all know I too found it a bit difficult to create templates. Then I took a new approach and have created 6 templates with ease. This will allow me to write articles at lighting speed. Plus if you use the templates provided within the IAF you are going to get unique articles. The real reason I created my own templates was so that I speak in my own voice and it makes a ot more sense for me to write and complete.

If you would like a video of how I created one I will be more than glad to do so. just not sure where I will post it? Ideas on where to post it?

I post a fair bit on the TBS forum  ;) and have just started a set of tutorials for using TBS on WordPress. http://www.getmemotivated.co.uk/blog_thebest_tutorials/?p=6 I think those beginning tutorials will need a few additions, so I am planning on adding "3 best ways" or "5 steps to" or "how to" type articles. I will use one of the IAF templates for each article, just to create 1 article, export it and then edit it prior to posting. I don't have a huge need for being able to post multiple different versions of 1 article but it is helpful to have a template to create a "starter" article. Maybe I should create multiple different versions and post the "how to" articles on the different article directories but any spare time I have "should" go towards my studies. TBS and IAF are "relaxations" for me - not work.  ;D

That's fantastic. How about posting it on You Tube and posting the url on here?

Texsa, Please do, please do, please do....

Megs suggestion of where to do it is a good one, but you might also put up a short
blog and add your affiliate link, so maybe you will make a few dollars off of your ideas.

But, Where ever you put it; PLEASE HURRY!  It would be such a big help!

You know of course I would consider this a personal favor from another Texan.... ::)
