What do I need to do about my IAW Pro subscription
« on: January 10, 2011, 02:30:23 PM »
Hi there

I subscribed to IAW Pro last month and understand that it's being discontinued and is being replaced with a new version, which I've been testing.

This begs a couple of questions:

- Do I need to cancel my subscription to IAW Pro (next payment is coming up this week) or has it automatically been canceled?
- If it hasn't been automatically canceled and I let the payment go through, then will I have still have to pay "full pop" for the new version (I understand that subscribers who have paid for two months of access will be upgraded to new version for free)?

Basically, I guess I just want to make sure that I don't wind up making another payment and then having to cough up the full price for the product.

Thanks

Dawson

This is close enough to my question, I will leave it here. Hoping that is OK.

I just got my PayDotCom link for IAW and happened to see this Pro IAW for $7 first week and $27/mo ... but it looks like it goes to the same site for IAW. So ...

Are you discontinuing the PRO, as mentioned here in this thread?

and

How come I do not see a $47 IAW in your PayDotCom products Jon?

Ooops ! Sorry . I just saw your Sticky page at the Top and read my answer - PRO retiring. OK .

So all I need to know then is how come the $47 IAW is not showing in your products Jon, or did I miss it and it is there?

IAW is currently in free Beta testing. The latest word is that it will launch (with a discount for Beta testers) 17 January 2011

Hi Meg

I know that IAW is free during beta testing but I'm still lost as to what happens to IAW Pro paying subscribers (most/all of whom are presumably beta testers right now).

And I still don't know what to do about my subscription which comes due in a couple of days.

As things stand today, I believe I will be billed another $27 for my IAW Pro subscription, even though IAW Pro has been discontinued. And while I'm getting the new IAW in beta test mode for "free" that doesn't change the fact that I am paying $27 per month.

If I let my subscription payment go through, then I will need to buy the new IAW a couple of days later (so $27 + whatever the selling price for IAW will be).

I've seen it mentioned that beta testers will get a discount,  but what about current subscribers? What will we pay and what should I do about the payment that's supposed to go through in a couple of days?

At this point, it looks like I should cancel my subscription so that I don't end up paying $27 and then paying another $XX when the product is officially launched - especially if I'm going to simply get the same discount as every person who's currently using IAW totally for free.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Dawson

I believe that IAWP is still being supported, it just wont be adding any more features. You can still use it and pay the subscription if you want, or you can beta test IAW 3.0 now and get a discount when the product launches on the 17th.
