Copyscape Ck Returns Username or API Key error

I already have a Copyscape premium account and have enabled API on it.  I have copied in my Copyscape username and API key as shown on the Copyscape site in the fields instructed in Instant Article Wizard (so correct field in IAW program and no possibility of typo'd).  Problem is that first time I tried to run Copyscape ck from inside IAW I get an error that "username or API key not correct".

I have gone to Copyscape manually and confirmed the info, plus manually successfully ran the dupe ck from copyscape which further confirmed correct username.

I've tried several times from IAW to run the Copyscape ck and get same error each time.  The article is 721 words if that makes a difference for IAW.  I know the Copyscape limit is 2000 so not a problem on their end.

Please advise.

Only thing I can suggest is: when you copy the API key, are you picking up an extra space either at the start or the end?

You are a genius! Extra space on the end was the answer - problem solved.  Thanks so much for your help.
