Pushing IAW to it's limits
« on: November 18, 2011, 10:54:20 AM »
I've just gotten IAW and started adding in additional keywords to search. Question is I could easily dump 100 or so related keywords on a very tight niche, but do I want to? Anyone know how many queries you can add before IAW will begin to crash? I thought I saw a number somewhere just don't recall.

Another thought instead of doing all keywords all sources, I might be better to do all keywords and only google as the source. Seems like that would give better results.

Thanks,

Matt

PS-Meg your help site is awesome.

Hi Matt,

I have added quite a few words and never had it crash as a result of the added words.

But, as to whether or not you would want to, it is very likely that you will not need to add
ANY keywords as believe me, anything you could add will probably already be in your research.

As to the big G, depends on what you are looking for...

Glad you like the site. I tend not to dump LOTS of keywords in to search, because it does take a while to do the search. I find that I might do a few searches on a topic, then see what it will come with for me and if necessary, go back in and do more searches. Elliotproud has some good ideas for using IAW so you don't trigger the Google capcha monster. He does different key word searches (on the same subject) on the basis that, to Google, this looks like "natural" searching. He has a good post on that somewhere back a few weeks.
