Affiliate opportunities

I am helping write the contact for several online directories that will have affiliate links to the products mentioned.  I have to find the affiliates which is not easy.  Is there a method or system for finding affiliates for different products?

It's tough to recruit affiliates.  What payment system are you using?  ClickBank?  PayDotCom?  An independent script?  If CB or PDC, you can advertise on their site to recruit affiliates.

There are directories and such you can submit your products to, but I've never gotten any real results from them myself (though granted it's been a while since I've tried to use them).

Hi Jon:

What we are doing is creating individual websites for all kinds of products, writing the content intros i.e., Barbecue Grills, Accessories, Receipes, etc. and then signing up for affiliate programs to get the code and backlinks to put on the site under the categories.  It is not easy finding them.

If you're looking for affiliate programs to sign up for.. which is what I take it you are doing since you want the code to put on your sites try this ... barbecue Grills  +affiliate programs just change the topic for each site you need an affiliate program for.

You might also hook up with affiliate programs by looking at what others are doing. Try this, Google barbecue Grills +"powered by yahoo! answers" This will bring up many of those sites using the Yahoo!Answer plugin for WordPress.

If you're looking for affiliate programs, not to get affiliates for your own products, Amazon has a massive number of products you can easily be an affiliate for.
