Where Article Marketing falters is in the MARKETING end of the equation. Most people who write articles simply do not take the time to MARKET THEIR ARTICLES. (Some, apparently do not even take time to READ what they wrote!).

Article Marketing excells whenever the articles written are actually marketed to the proper audience. Without that extra effort you're simply blowing in the wind with thousands of other wannabes, all of whom are trying to find an "easy" way to get to the top.

Write fantastic articles, then maket the heck out of them. Best advice you will find anywhere online!  8)

How many articles does it take to spell success? As many good articles as you can market:-*

Tops et al,

Great info about article marketing - one of my least favorite activities. I love to build sites, write the original content posts, etc., but hate the article marketing part of the equation.

I just started learning more about linking and deep linking. The IAF is my first product here, but I will definitely have to check out the linking-related products as well.

So much to learn - but sounds like this forum is a good place to help with the IM learning curve thanks to all of you who are willing to share from your experience and knowledge. Thank you!!!

WOW.. sorry I didn't see your question until now. It's setup for USA.. I think.. but I've noticed we get a lot of stuff for the UK so who knows for sure? I use the RSS feeds eBay puts out and run scans on them.

hey....
basically  article marketing is the strategic and purposeful action of writing information-based articles which include a resource or bio box at the end which promotes something or someone

LOL LOL.. the "Article Marketing for Dummies" version, no doubt. These sort of "tips" really don't help anyone and they are far too rampant online. It's liking someone asking 'what sells on ebay?' and someone comes back with, 'everything'.. doesn't really help.  ::)

Article marketing is a good way to bring in a new traffic.  This strategy worked very effective.  This is not really reflected on sales but we got higher level at SERP.

Yes Article Marketing still works! Without a doubt, check out any site and see which ones have the most clicks.

If they are affiliate sites, it is not necessary for all of the articles to be unique. If they are 'Professional Sites' it is very important to use only unique content!!!

I've tested article marketing for the last 4 years or so.  I love it and still use it.

One thing I found to work well is to link article to review oriented sites.

So if your site is not only informative but can offer reviews in some way you should see higher sales on the backend.  I have used Adsense but to be honest my results with standard affiliate products have always been much better.

I have sites making 1k-2k per month powered mainly by article marketing that contains very few ads.  But the ads that are on there are based on my #1 selection I want my visitor to buy.

In the reviews of the products I always make it known to the reader what my #1 product is in that market even if they come to my site based on another product review.  Of course, I'll put in the affiliate link for the product thy came to the review for as well... but I want to steer them into the product I'd like them to buy.

If you're using articles for more than just site ranking you'll want to make sure to share good quality information with the reader.  Help them solve an issue an they'll be more likely to visit your site to see what else you help them with.

I know my post here was less based on actually article marketing but more on how to convert the people who come from your articles into buyers.

Interesting Michael, thanks for this post.

Which are the best article sites which work for you?

All of them :)

No, honestly I still like Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Article Dashboard just to name a few.  But I use over 100 different article sites.  With some sites like Article Base and even Ezine Articles you will lose a portion of your article traffic to their ads as the are extremely ad-heavy.  Not much you can do about that except write well enough and informative  enough to get them to read to the end and use you resource box.

I agree with Michael 100%, the article marketing sites that were working the best, continue to work the best!

It is my opinion that if you use Ezine first to submit to you will be bettering your position. Just remember, wait until it has been approved and is already on Ezine before you submit the 'same' article to another site! Otherwise it not be approved by Ezine!
