Newbie at Article Marketing
« on: August 07, 2010, 04:05:47 PM »
I work with local businesses promoting their websites, I'm wondering how best to do article marketing.

I just got IAF and submitted an article to a few directories, but how do I do this most effectively...should I get a VA to submit the article to the top directories, or do I need something like Unique Article Wizard to automatically spin them and submit them?

Hoping you guys can clear up the best strategy for article marketing.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gurumike, ;D and welcome to the forum, you will be able to get all the info
you need on this site.

I am an article writer, do submissions and also serve as a virtual assistant
for 2 smaller companies.  IE: articles, submitting, email, client letter writing,
even doing on line customer service and bookkeeping another client.

But is this case I am not drumming up business.  Just go to my site,
http://articlewriter4u.com and you will find a lot of information on
what you should do to be effective at article marketing.

Not that I mind drumming up business you understand,  ::) I just don't think that
is what you are looking for right now.  Anyway, check it out, good info on it!
It should give you a better idea on what you need to do.

Hope you find what you need.

If not there will be a real Gu-Ru come along shortly and give you any additional
info you need..

Hmm, I do marketing for small businesses, mainly using websites and SEO so I know where you are coming from on this.

It would be my recommendation that you submit articles to more niche directories, rather than to the broader ones if you are looking to get actual traffic for your site.

In my opinion, I have only used article marketing as one of many ways to get internal links to a main website so that I have a mix of incoming links.

With this method, I aim for the biggest and best article directories so that each of the links has more power.

The reason for this is simple, when you say local businesses, if you mean local to you and only selling stuff in their area, then you need to make sure that the marketing that you do is central to your area.

Just my £0.02 anyway.

Not pretending to be a guru/maven/mogul/hero/expert just someone who makes money doing web stuff.
