Any member using KeywordSnatcher with Hebrew?
« on: April 24, 2014, 12:20:22 PM »
Hello Everybody,  new here,

I tried location = Israel.
Typed keword in Hebrew - nada - didnt get any keyword.

Could be that in changing the string -letters its not using Hebrew only English letters?

thanks,
Tomer

Hi Tomer

As far as I know KWS only uses English as the language.

I just tried Country - Israel and keyword - Kashrut (Diet??) and
stopped KWS at just over 400 keyword phrases but as far as
the Hebrew alphabet goes I wouldn't have thought it would work

Hoping this helps

It'd be hard to see how it would use alternative alphabets unless it was specifically programmed with them. The actual characters will be derived from the software, not from Google's end.

What would happen if one used Keyword Snatcher in Hebrew but with Latin characters, transliterated, and then run the resulting list through Google Translate to get the words in Hebrew characters? The translation is not going to be perfect all the time but maybe worth an experiment?

Hi There,

Well Its interesting...
I tried a few method - enterring in Hebrew for example the word ????? ?????? = carpet cleaning - which give me lots of keywords.

But when I entered sofas cleaning - bheuh xpu,    - with the comma at the end it didn't give me nothing.

Another option is entering the keyword in english getting the results ---> Google translate (But it doesnt give all the results)

Would be nice if the programmer add double byte character into this great tool.
