I have researched throughout this and other forums and have applied all the answers that came up! Up to and including changing the default geo location in all of my browsers to USA for Google search (applies to IAW).

Plus I performed and implemented a litany of other troubleshooting tests hoping I could find and offer some answers to this issue (including the installation of the software on other computers and applying the same and some other techniques).  Over 6 1/2 hours in all.

To no avail!

I can submit a ticket, but it seems by the chatter on this forum that support is quite backed-up.

If one of the administrators here could find out the answers, or current issues with it, and post them, it seems that could resolve an additional influx of tickets to the support team until it's resolved.

I can imagine Jon and his team are hard at work staying up to date with new projects, but I have just passed my first anniversary with this software and every time I've tried to use it, there was an issue.  And it costs money when my time is wasted.

I'm not angry, and am in full support of Jon.  But I spent money on this program because it suited a particular need.  And, because Jon and I are on the same wavelength for quality content, I buy virtually each and every tool he markets. And give him kudos each time it hits the mark.

This one has not, so far...

We need some answers!

I just tried keyword Snatcher there now. I used a "usual" keyword of "stainless steel" (no quotes) and got results for Bing and Yahoo but not Google. Tried again with ONLY Google and put speed to slowest. No results from Google.

Okay, here it goes!

Note: All of the following tests were performed after a reboot.  No other software was operating, except as stated below.

Parameters:

Browsers:
Default Browser Firefox 5.0:

• Google set as Default Search Engine
• Default Search Location set to USA (United States)

Other Browsers installed:

• IE9 - v.9.0.8112.16421
• Chrome - v.12.0.742.100
• Opera - v.11.11
• Safari - v.5.05

All Browsers set to Google as default Search Engine - Search Location set to USA (United States).  This really doesn't really seem relevant because the Keyword term used was "Diet Pills" which I think is applicable even in the most remote location.

• Cache cleaned after and before each instance of testing

Operating System:

• Windows Vista Home Premium Svc Pack 2, Build 6002 - Current

Keyword Snatcher:

• Version 1.16 - Current
• Search Term: Diet Pills

Tests:

Test #1: Normal Operation with the following parameters:

• Ran Keyword Snatcher as Administrator
• United States selected
• Slower speed Results mode
• All Search Engines chosen

   1.) Performed test with Firefox Running and no other programs.
   2.) Rebooted and performed this test only with Keyword Snatcher (No Firefox running, No other Programs Running.)

Results: Yahoo and Amazon Results, No Google, Bing or Ask. 
             Ran test again with only Google Selected - No Results
             Repeated with only Bing selected - No results
             Repeated with only Ask selected - No results

Test # 2:

• Parameters as stated in Test #1, except...
• Booted Computer in Safe Mode, Network enabled (F8)
• Ran Keyword Snatcher as Administrator (No other Programs Running)

Results:  Same as above, Yahoo and Amazon Results, No Google, Bing or Ask.
              Ran with only Google selected - No results
              Repeated with only Bing selected - No results
              Repeated with only Ask selected - No results

Test #3:

• Parameters as stated in Test #1, except...
• Booted Computer Normally
• Ran Firefox in Safe Mode (Different than Windows in Safe Mode), Disabled all Add-Ons
• Ran Keyword Snatcher as Administrator
• Rebooted and ran test again with only Keyword Snatcher running (No other Programs Running)

Results:  Same as above, Yahoo and Amazon Results, No Google, Bing or Ask.
              Ran with only Google selected - No results
              Repeated with only Bing selected - No results
              Repeated with only Ask selected - No results

Test #4: Okay, I'm tired, but performed all tests listed above with Firewall Disabled.

Results:  Same as above, Yahoo and Amazon Results, No Google, Bing or Ask.
              Ran with only Google selected - No results
              Repeated with only Bing selected - No results
              Repeated with only Ask selected - No results

Test #5: Repeated tests listed above with IE9 as Default Browser.

Results:  Same as above, Yahoo and Amazon Results, No Google, Bing or Ask.
              Ran with only Google selected - No results
              Repeated with only Bing selected - No results
              Repeated with only Ask selected - No results


I'm done for now...

I still don't quite understand why others can sometimes achieve results (reported on this forum), even if they are limited results.  This, I would think, points to individual computer parameters as the issue.  A default setting somewhere on the computer?  But for me to get these same results on two very different computers, is very strange indeed.

Otherwise, there has to be something in the software's capability, or current changes in the Search Engines, as the major reason.  Either way, that becomes a software issue and where the fix should be.

If I didn't think of something, let me know! I need this to work!

One last thing. You say you are using Firefox Version 5. I thought that most internet marketers where
staying with the late version 3 to keep all of our SEO plug ins working. Thats the advice I am still following
although I don't see how this would affect your test.

1.) 

"were you hitting google with a lot of searches with SEO Quake or some other software without proxies?
It is sort of off topic but Google is known to block your IP"

Bob, this is an open forum, and any ideas are welcome.  So, Thank You!   

Good thoughts Bob, but no, in all of the work I've ever done, not once has anything like that ever happened, ever.  Besides, this has been going on for awhile with KS and I currently have no problems with IAW, Answer Analyst, Market Samurai, Nichebot, etc., etc., for this same point!

I have also been able to eliminate my Internet Provider because of this fact.

There has been difficulty in this same manner with WebCompAnalyst, which I have not addressed yet, in hopes that the resolution here, can be applied to that as well.

Sore issue, but it is what it is!  Besides, all of the critical plugins I use have stayed immediately up to date, except McAfee which to me is irrelevant. But your right on both points here, Firefox 3 (although less secure), and "how would this affect the test."  Regardless, IE9, Opera, Safari, etc., each has been set as the default browser with a reboot.  And it should not matter!

**Although, I never did ask if you were required to even have a browser installed to allow Keyword Snatcher to work?  I would think it would access the Internet on its own merit, through its own simplified browser.  Afterall, even if this weren't the case Google blocks the IP anyway, not the Browser.

3.)

I tried diet pills in KS, using all the search options. Google would not give ANY keywords at all, even though i also ran a "deep research" on Google only but I got keywords for Bing and Yahoo. There were 419 results in all, including some in Amazon and Ask

So, prior to posting this, I tested KS again with "diet pills" (no quotes used) and again, no results for Google, Bing or Ask.

I'll give this until the weekend, hopefully somebody will have an answer.  Otherwise I'll need to send in a support ticket, which I've been trying to avoid.  Resolutions to problems like this, searched and found on forums can reduce the support teams backlog. 

I would like to help keep Jon's Staff working on new projects, it benefits all of us.

Is there a Moderator we can get involved in this who could get the answer?

Thanks Meg!

I only used "diet pills" because it is a frequently used keyword, and a keyword Jon uses in his videos.  Thus, I have seen that the results are achievable.  Plus, if there were some screwy reasons regarding Google set as my Local (my area) or US (United States) it would not be a factor because that term is generic.

I still thank you for the work and offer though, I hope that I can return the favor somehow!

and Johnny, I love it...  words are, what it's all about, and some logic too!  I gather your not getting results either?
