Search Volume for long tail keywords
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:18:11 AM »
This was probably addressed in KS beta testing, but I thought I'd ask. Was there any discussion about the approximate number of monthly searches for a long tail keyword? It may be just a guesstimate or impossible, as we are using keyword info from 3 search engines.

As I play with the KS, I've gotten some real neat ideas. I'm doing a KS exercise right now.  Here's an example of a keyword phrase that comes up top 3 across the board. "Dog grooming yourself".   I'm assuming the search is about resources for learning to groom your own dogs. Do I waste my time going after a keyword phrase that may only have 50 searches a month?

I did go into Google, just for grins, and it would be easy to dominate that category, but is it worth it?

I wonder if a column for estimated search traffic would be helpful in determining whether to pursue a keyword.
