A question of quantity of links
« on: September 13, 2010, 03:31:55 AM »
So, does anyone know whether there is an upper limit to the number of INCOMING link that you can have to any individual site using MWL?

I know that you can only have a maximum of 250 links going out from any site, but is there a limit to the number of ones going to any of the sites?

Cheers.

No, there's no incoming link limit.

Probably the actual working limit for incoming links is something south of 700. There are 700 sites qualified in the system as link sources. Some are pretty restrictive as to whom they give links, so it is probably next to impossible to get 700 links via MWL. If your site is less attractive (say, 0 page rank, obscure category, for example) you will have access to fewer sites as backlink sources.

A working limit is probably around 600-625 for most sites with PR greater than 0...

But that's just a (semi) educated guess...

Still, that should be enough for most practical purposes... ;) :D
