No More Growth!
« on: January 03, 2011, 12:28:28 PM »
Is it me or did the system just seem to die off in terms of growth?  It seems like the magic number is around 700, this could of been such a great linking resource if the growth would continue giving us a constant flow of new sites to link with.

Have you given up on getting new members/sites into the system Jon?

I haven't given up, but unfortunately it appears to take a lot more understanding how linking and ranking works with Google to "get" MWL.  That means the affiliates are having a hard time converting visitors to buyers, which means they don't make MWL a priority.

There are a HUGE number of users in the system that I gave accounts to for a special WarriorForum deal who never did anything with it because they just don't get it.

O.K. Thank you for trying, Jon!

So one promotional tactic did not work out very well.  :(  That's life. You can't win 'em all... So you pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start all over again, right?  :)

Whenever "Plan A" doesn't work, you try "Plan B", right?  ;)  Here's a suggestion for a Plan B:

1. Address the quality of links issue that is currently being felt in false, non-existent, broken and no-follow links. This to restore our faith and confidence in the MyWayLinks product.

2. Come up with a package promotional deal involving MWL and solicit all of us existing users to push the offer as affiliates. With a reasonably good deal to promote, and all of us wanting to have more MWL members, we would have every incentive to help bring in new members ourselves...Plus, as existing users, we would have unique advantages for selling it to others...

Suggestions for a package deal?

Well, almost everyone recognizes that you need to do more than one thing to promote websites. So why not a discount for using more than one Jon Leger product? Something like:

A.  If someone signs up for MWL s/he gets a free 60-day trial of 1WL, and an opportunity after that to sign on permanently at a reduced price.

B. Same thing using 3WL instead...

C. Same thing using The best Spinner instead (Shucks, it really works well with 1WL and you/they need it!)
[Strategy here would be that once started, after using the product for a bit, the new member would have effort invested, would be starting to see results and so would be very much encouraged to continue. So we users get more MWL sites and you get more paying customers!]

D. Jon, you certainly know a lot more than I/we do about how to put together winning promotions, and can come up with more and better ideas. I/we won't assume to tell you how to run your business, but I, and I expect numerous others, would certainly like to see MWL grow, and would be willing to cooperate and help in any way I/we can!

Anyone else want to chime in on this?

Have to say that this is an absolutely brilliant service. I have been getting truckloads of traffic since adding myway to the mix. If you haven't joined up yet I would say do it and start reaping the rewards. By adding all those old sites to the network you can earn 1 way links to your key money sites from quality, high pr, unique sites only 1 or 2 clicks away from the homepage. With a little care you should easily be able to make a huge profit on your investment.

Well....

i am part of a large marketing chat. We evolved from a few forums and have our private chat where we actively engage. On average each member has 60 domains, ranging from PR 2 - PR 7. I won't go into what each individual earns on average. But let me tell you: it's enough so everyone could afford MWL or any other service without thinking twice.

Turns out i'm struggling to get my sites into the network ever since i joined (monday, 10.07.2011). MWL was not able to find my link to the links page. I used custom menues at first. Was told that the tags from custom menues make it hard for MWL to recognize the link. (wtf?)
Then i messed with my themes code to put it in the navigation nonetheless, without having any tags around it. Shows properly on site but still MWL won't find the link and recognize my site. Although it was in line 90 of my source code.
Then i uploaded a blank index.html with nothing else than the link to the links page. Turns out it still can't validate although my page is posted, the shortcode is in the html tab (thanks for NOT pointing out inside MWL admin that it has to go into the HTML view!) and it still won't verify. (wtf again)

Now what do you think? Would I
a) recommend this service to my friends or
b) rant about how sites won't verify?

Take a guess!

No wonder there is no growth when it's a pain to set up (my sites still aren't inside MWL and i have tried 2 different WP sites (different themes, plugins, place of the link) and it won't even support some kinds of html sites! (I'll get into that in a new topic) Also support couldn't help me (but tried it's best!)

I hope I'll get this service running in the next 3-4 days. Otherwise you can imagine I won't have to tell others good things about it.
