Setting up a site
« on: April 11, 2011, 04:28:16 PM »
I am in the screen for adding a new site,

I have got down to a bit which says about a wordpress plugin??? where do we find that?

Enter the the file name that you want your links page to have.
(Like the title, the links page filename must not contain the word 'link' or 'links')
(Unless you are using the Wordpress plugin, this file name MUST end in .php)
What do we put here?

I am using the Wordpress plugin, so I do not need to enter the header or footer HTML.

Paste your page header and footer HTML code into the fields below. I presume in this bit would we paste our code from the editor in wordpress for header.php and footer.php??
(The links page header and footer must match your site's main header and footer, otherwise your site will be declined.)

Also keep getting the following error when clicking on "Get Links"

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/mywaylin/public_html/index.php on line 2694

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mywaylin/public_html/index.php:2694) in /home/mywaylin/public_html/index.php on line 2697

I was told that this screen only appears because one has not yet any registered and approved sites in the system.

But tell you what: it leaves a VERY BAD impression if i log in, check out the links and get an error message like that. I was thinking the site was having errors and reported this to support. They told me this is 'normal'. The f***!

Jonathan, why not put a screen there that says: "you haven't submitted any sites into the system and can therefore not aquire links at this present moment"?

It was leaving me confused and with a bad taste in my mouth that i should have never joined MWL.
