Better than Social Multiplier
« on: June 22, 2015, 05:39:10 PM »
I got Social Multiplier working half-ass at best. Enough to figure out that I won't use it. Not as intended anyhow. I don't want to spam Pinterest. I don't think it's a wise thing to do. But with that said here is what I DO want, what I am currently doing manually with good results.

I post actual article URLs to my Facebook pages. Add a related-video link in the comment box. Then I grab the FB URL to that post and pin it on Pinterest. To do this I go to the original article and pin it's graphic. Edit to reflect my FB post's URL.

Walk Through..

1)  Post article URL of interest to my niche on Facebook
2)  Add a related video in comment box (could be anything.. another article, video, etc.)
3)  Return to ORIGINAL ARTICLE to pin a graphic to Pinterest.
4)  Edit Pinterest post to send traffic to my Facebook post where people can find the article link AND my promotional video.

NO SPAMMING, useful  information, not a bunch of graphics which aren't linked to the actual product! Personally, if I seen this one too many times I won't follow that person.

The idea isn't to merely drive thousands of eyeballs somewhere. The idea is to drive the RIGHT eyeballs to targeted information.

It's a shame your configuration doesn't work with Social Multiplier for whatever reason. We're getting incredible results with it.

And it's not spamming. People choose the images they like and they opt to follow you or not. And since you're only following people who are interested in your market, the traffic is laser targeted.

On top of that, you can aways import your own list of images and product urls so that people go directly to that page selling the item in the image.

You really should do the research before shooting down a product. It may not work for you, but it's working tremendously well for others and with no spamming involved.

YOU ASKED FOR FEEDBACK! Or, do you only want praises for a product that isn't working? YOU say people are getting great results but what I'm reading there are a lot of people not being able to get the software to work at all. I'm not the only one.. boy, a lot of people just must be too stupid to make it work, huh?

How the hell can I 'research' a product that isn't working? And for the record.. I KNOW how to drive traffic.. real targeted traffic.. from Pinterest. And I never miss lead anyone with thousands of images.

Mark Cuban:

"So Dan, tell me a little about Social Multiplier. What makes it so great?"

Me:

"Well Mark, I've been told thousands of people are having great success with it."

Mark Cuban:

"Really? How's it working for you? What are your numbers?"

Me:

"Well Mark, to be completely honest with you that's hard to say."

Mark Cuban:

"Oh? Why?"

Me:

"Because I can't get the thing to work."

Mark Cuban:

"YOU can't get the software to work? Are you freak'n serious? You have 15 software programs on your computer which DO work just fine how come you can't get this ONE to work?"

Me:

"I honestly don't know Mark. I'm being told there must be something wrong with the way MY computer is set up!"   :'(

Out of hundreds of people actively using the software a few are having problems, yes. Of course the people posting on the LFJ forum are going to be those having problems -- the ones it's working for will have little to say because they're too busy enjoying the results (though quite a few have posted about their success with it).

I am actively working at figuring out what makes certain setups and configurations not work for some people. But then others that were having problems posted realizing it was things like having their Windows Firewall allow the app to work.

When you have as many different setups as Windows allows, some people are bound to have problems with software, especially software that automates a browser and is constantly connected. That's just the reality of an extremely diverse software environment like Windows.

Again, I'm sorry it's not working for you, but I'd ask you to make sure you go through the LFJ forum and take all of the steps outlined (adding all of the sites to the Trusted Sites list, making sure that your Firewall and Antivirus software allows SM to do its work, etc).

And your feedback was that SM is a spam tool, which clearly it is not. It pins highly relevant images to people who have actively expressed an interest in your niche and have chosen to follow you. Nothing about that qualifies as spam.

In regards to researching..

Terms of Service
https://about.pinterest.com/en/terms-service

If you're using Pinterest for business YOU MUST REPORT IT...

"You may use our Products only if you can form a binding contract with Pinterest, and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. When you create your Pinterest account, you must provide us with accurate and complete information."

Accounts are terminated for not following Pinterest TOS and they will wipe out ALL of your images in the process!

"6. Termination

Pinterest may terminate or suspend this license at any time, with or without cause or notice to you. Upon termination, you continue to be bound by Sections 2 and 6-12 of these Terms."

And here is a really, really important point which we can not ignore..

"Pinterest stipulates that you can ONLY pin images which are
EITHER your own - and you own the copyright (which means it's your own wholly original creation)
OR you have permission to use or a licence from the copyright owner
The only person who can decide whether an image can be reproduced and where that image can be published is the copyright owner.

Unless the copyright owner has made it clear (eg through use of creative commons or a "Pin away" badge) that it's OK to use their images, you simply can't decide for them."

Site Marked as SPAM on Pinterest ?!?!
http://www.withablast.net/2014/07/site-marked-as-spam-on-pinterest.html

But the way I go about this avoids all of this ugliness..

I post an article from the 'Net to one of my Facebook Fan Pages.. add a comment directly below that post featuring one of my Staged vidoes related to the article, then pin the graphic OF THAT ARTICLE.. to Pinterest, edit to reflect my Facebook URL FOR THAT ARTICLE, and drive traffic to the exact link on my FB page.

See examples here..

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Best-Chocolate-Cake-Recipes/744202208970216

Usually I only use the link to the actual article like this example: (to do this you go to where it shows the hours of the post and copy the url from there)

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=909540029103099&id=744202208970216

Which will carry the comment posting along with the link to the article.

I propose you create a SECOND software to do this.. call it something like 'Social Traffic Generator' .. and don't go for thousands of postings which will surly tip Pinterest off that something isn't natural when you get thousands of eager-beavers using the software!

"Spammers sometimes create Pins with misleading links or follow you hoping you'll visit their profile and click on their Pins. The technology we use to fight it gets better every day, but it's possible you'll come across spam while using Pinterest." https://help.pinterest.com/en/articles/spam-pinterest

Links not going to the graphics being displayed is, in fact, spam.

There's nothing misleading about a link that says "For more...click here" -- it says exactly what they'll be getting when they click through.
