How can we make your goals more achievable through specific, affordable outsourcing? We want to hear from you, because iNeedTasks was built FOR you

Hi Josh and members, most of you know me as HoneyJo here, (Honey-Jo on learnfromjon), and  I have actually never made a living on line. I joined learnfromjon to change that! Have made a some go ftod affiliate sales from my sites, odd jobs from other forum members, other than that notta~ :'(

I mostly write for others and preform other task 'accounting/bookkeeping/secretarial/word processing/office flunky' jobs from my own site or O'Desk. Earning some money, however not what I would like to make!

•   I need to have someone 'trustworth' who could check my sites for 'inode' problems from time to time they have not been being backed up by Hostgator because of this error! Not a ‘biggee’ for most people, but it is for me!

Hi HoneyJo,
I wonder if that is just a load of spam comments on your site? I got a warning about that a couple of months ago on one of my sites and it was just a load of spammy comments that I hadn't cleared. I got a bulk mail deleter and that got rid of the lot. Problem solved

Very interesting concept, one of the things I have struggled with is in finding dependable micro task management, most of the services you see today are focused on filling an hourly wage concept, which frankly is just not feasible for most, (most) consumers, you either have to purchase 24 hour services, (which also very frankly is dubious at best) when all you really need is a set of specific tasks to be completed in a nominal amount of time, I received the email this morning and it struck me that this is something that is a big problem in a lot of places both on and off line...

Seems to me that unless you have an extremely conceptualized idea here you may not see the kind of success that perhaps your hoping to see.   Just a thought.

Where are you getting the idea that we're charging hourly? We charge per task, and for many of the tasks you put in what you are willing to pay for it's completion. Of course if you're too cheap nobody will pick up the task, so you need to give a reasonable wage.

I expect INT to be a huge success for all the reasons you stated -- people just need a fixed set of tasks done, not to hire a VA for a day/week/month.

Hey there. I have been anticipating the launch of this service. I am so busy these days with my offline business and my online business has really paid the price. I cannot seem to really move forward. I have the funds to hire but not the time to do most of the online work myself. I decided that this would be the year I would put a team together and really get things going. I have had years of managing workers, both professionally and in my online business. In fact, the 1st person I hired to help me online was in 2002.

I currently have 2 VAs working for me, but they lack a lot of skills I need. Obviously no one person can do it all. So I am interested in pretty much any task related to running an online business. For example, if I wanted to set up a membership site then I would want to hire out every possible aspect of that project I could (site set up, membership software management, graphics development, content development, help desk, etc). Another example would be having people help me with the major aspects of growing my Niche Jet authority sites, again using workers for as many tasks as possible. A final example is that I am interested in having a place I can use to quickly test out new marketing concepts that I am interested in. For example, I bought a great training course on creating funnels for solo ads. I have run tons of solos already, but this concept is unique. I would like to get help in finding products to promote, creating content, building my funnels, etc, all following the training. In fact, it would be great to be able to hand over the training to one or more workers and have them move forward with little supervision from me.

I don't mean to ramble here, but a service that can help me in the ways I need and that gives me great results would be extremely valuable. Looking forward to it Jon!

Thanks!
Clint

Hi Josh

I would love to be able to outsource my sales, or appointment making.

Best regards

Roger

Is this aimed at agencies & marketers (who would order, then resell), or at general public (in which case prices would be higher).
For instance, i wouldn't want to order services from a place where my clients would also have access to & compare costs w my services.

It's for both. Pricing will be very affordable in most cases. Although the pricing for some of the tasks will be set by the customer.

Would this service be similar to ODesk where the worker logs in and their work time is captured?

No, we don't charge on an hourly basis, so that is not needed. We charge on a task-by-task basis.

I have thousands of images that need tagging and categorising

I agree that the image tagging (meta data editing) would be ideal.

When you say you need images tagged and categorized, what exactly do you mean?  Adding alt tags or what?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the heads up.

I've only skimmed, so might have missed it, but the one thing, elephant in the room is Fiverr.

Of course, there are quality and security issues, but it handles very small, boring tasks pretty well.

The security issue is a big one though.  Perhaps you should think of a way to incorporate Omar Martin's 'IM Trustworthy' service into this.

Maybe you could talk to Brian Terry of OutVeo with a view to developing a version of that?  While not guaranteeing good quality, it could provide more control and structure over what gets done.

My 'tuppence' ;-)

We're pretty confident that INT is going to be a trustworthy and reliable solution. Fiverr is not an elephant in the room. I believe we mentiond them by name in the very first email we ever sent out regarding INT. I'm confident that many IMers will prefer INT over Fiverr for various reasons. We are IM experts, the Fiverr developers may be experts in what they do, but they are not your typical IM experts. We know what is needed and we know the inner workings of the average IMer's thought processes.

We'll also be using the same system that we've refined with iNeedArticles, so we're starting off with a very advanced system with alot of data. Unreasonable pricing will be worked out naturally. Dishonest workers will be worked out naturally. Low-quality work will be worked out naturally.

a) Do you plan to organize for microtasks (typically paid less than 1$, the same task being made multiple times) in a similar way as mechanical turk

b) Interested in about creation (if it meets your T&C)

I have a gallery site with lots of pics. I'd like somebody to go through the pics categorizing them better than they are now and tagging them so that they can be searched for more effectively. It is a job that I'd otherwise put on Freelancer.com

Problem is that it is a one-off task. Chances are that nobody is doing what I am doing on the same platform and with the same purpose. A simple job though - assuming adequate English vocabulary.

How about identifying profitable problems in a members niche market, solutions to the problem and the best way to provide it.
