ROI: since the site is not monetized yet:
it would be great that you add Adsense or some other form of monetization

400 (searches per month) X 0.5 (click thrus to site) X 0.1 (clicks on ads) X $1 (ave income per click) = $20

Choosing profitable keywords is always the most difficult part of the equation for me. I own many keyword tools but none of those provide real answers in such a clear and concise manner as Keyword Canine.

Is there going to be an on-going monthly membership fee for Keyword Canine or a one-time fee to purchase the software?

I have been using Niche Shark to find niche keywords to go after.

Can you please tell me what the difference is between them and Keyword Canine?

Yes. Not for the initial 500, though, as we will be offering a discounted price since it will be the final testing phase. Once the full launch opens up, though, affiliates will be welcome.

That depends on how things go once the initial phase is open. We have to gauge how much load we can handle, how many queries the typical user will run, etc., so we know how many slots we can make available while leaving some wiggle room.

Yeah that's a good question. Finding a niche is pretty simple in my opinion. All I do is get a big set of words, filter out the definite "no's" and then check the exact phrase count. Anything under 15k in quotes is extremely easy no further research required. Now you just need to check if domains are available.

I programmed a VBA tool in excel that can do this if anyone is interested.

I guess I am interested to see how Jon does this. I don't think anything really beats that method right there, but the automation of finding the niches is something I could improve.

Question for Jon: can you make something where we can import large sets of keywords and check a metric like exact phrase, come back in an hour or two and see the report? This would be brilliant! It would work for you because you could use the user queries as by-product!!! That would be money in the bank; I hope you do it.

I think, it is important to find the right keyword to rank for, however what is missing is how did it really ranked first page of Google.

I am interested on this tool, I have also other tools that show me low competing keywords, but the ranking part is missing which is not really nothing to do with this tool anyway. I think, we should really look at this tool as a way that it finds you low competing keyword and keep ranking separate.

It was interesting for me to see that the WP press site that was ranked was not even optimized for On-page optimization and permlinks were not used, etc.

Interesting tool, looking forward to give it a try.
