Social Multiplier 2 / Re: No Pinning and Follows - Using SM2 in a Different Location

I only use one account, no proxies. With this laptop I don't have an antivirus installed yet. How do you make a general setup to firewall and antivirus in order to white list it? Thanks

If you do not use a proxy, then Pinterest does not see you as being the same person. You have moved your computer, so your IP address is not the same as it was when you were in America. It MAY think you are a hacker trying to log into someone else's account! It will probably catch up, after all people DO move across the world but if you are going to move between the US and Thailand, you MIGHT be as well to get a proxy for this account. Then you will be able to update SM2 wherever you are in the world. The other thing is, SM2 currently only works on the USA Pinterest site. Here in Europe, we are shunted off to a European version of Pinterest if we log in from our home IP address. The same may happen in your part of the world.

If you are going to get a proxy address, it would be best to get one in your USA neighborhood, if you are moving back there. But any US proxy should do. And I would leave it a couple of days before logging back in, so you don't look to Pinterest like you have developed instant teleportation between Thailand and the USA.

Are you using the same proxies on each account?

Hello Jon, I use only one account. There is a separate SM2 installation at my home desktop but since I'm in Bangkok right now, I installed a new copy of SM2 to my laptop. After that it's giving me these errors.

Do you have the IP address of your bangkok location whitelisted with your proxy provider? Do you have a different firewall or antivirus on your laptop? Might there be any international blocking in Thailand?

no proxy/network issues logged.

Did another DB compacting, it's running again. Will monitor and update.

Question: are you running SM2 on Mac or Windows?

I'm afraid I have no idea what would cause that unless you're having some proxy / network issues. I've not seen that happen before.

Hello,
I've read all the posts about redirect but, really sorry, just a question is not clear to me.
Please advice that.

a) I've set the two scripts from rediret site to money site
b) When I digit www .redirectsite. com it redirects right well to www. moneysite. com; so it works and it's alright from this point of view.
c) target URl's in the right window of the software: i f I put www. redirectsite .com/something-after-the-slash (in corrispondence to old URLs) it doesn't work and it doesn't redirect properly to the money site (an error appear in the browser)
d) So, due to the point c), must I put only 1 url (www. redirectsite. com) in the right window of the software?

Really confused about that.

Help from you would be very appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

So, for example, if you want to send traffic to MyBrand. com from MyRedirect. com, with those two files uploaded to MyRedirect. com, if you browse to this URL:

Quote (selected)

    http:// myredirect. com/some/page/location.html

It will redirect you to:

Quote (selected)

    http:// mybrand. com/some/page/location.html

That way you can load up all of the target URLs you're using in the Pinterest account pinning to your brand domain and just search/replace the domain name with the redirect domain. Paste the redirect domain URLs into the new pin job(s) of a second Pinterest account and voila. :)

Jon

In other words, what explained above doesn't work in my case, the browser returns the 404 not found error message
