Kevin, are you saying that the redirect domains should be hosted on a separate hosting company (separate web host provider) than the money site?  Is this mandatory?  has this been advised by the JL team?

Is there an actual list anywhere that how us step by step the best practices to do this entire process from domain selection, proxy providers, host, redirect domains, etc?

Thanks.

Kevin, are you saying that the redirect domains should be hosted on a separate hosting company (separate web host provider) than the money site?  Is this mandatory?  has this been advised by the JL team? - I am not associated in any way with the team at SM2 I am merely a user sharing my own personal observations....on this particular subject my views are formed based upon the fact that early in my journey I lost one money site + it's feeder on the same day within the same hour and yes they were on the same hosting account, could be just bad luck, but could also be standard procedure that the Pinterest Spam Team run check's to discover as much as possible about "potential spam neighborhoods", as a matter of course I now ensure there is never any crossover between money sites & redirects even within the same niche within my hosting accounts, and have never suffered a 1-2 knockout since. To successfully spam Pinterest(coz lets face it that is what we are all doing) you have to have the EXACT same disciplines as if you were trying to game Google, if you hosted your money sites in the same place as your redirects you would be dead very quickly!.

Is there an actual list anywhere that how us step by step the best practices to do this entire process from domain selection, proxy providers, host, redirect domains, etc? - I only have my own personal experiences which I am always happy to share if I think they are relevant to the discussion....most of the answers are here embedded within all the various different threads on the forum....it is up to you to digest the information and improve your methods, JL & his team is providing the very BEST Pinterest software available online today complete with the basic operational instructions to get you started, you MUST then add you own twists to it from what you learn from others.

Pinterest itself is still in the very early stages of it's development, you can see that from the changes it implements regularly, and it's only ever going to get more difficult to get consistently increasing PROFITABLE traffic from them....they are in business to provide the very best user experience AND MAKE MONEY and that sound's a whole lot like Google to me  ;)

Kello Kevin,

I'm about to start my new Pinterest accounts with private proxies in a dedicated hosting from hostgator.

You've mentioned, 'if you hosted your money sites in the same place as your redirects you would be dead very quickly!'. My money site is already hosted on this dedicated server but I haven't bought any domains for the proxies yet. I already pay over $200 for hosting, so if I decide to host the new domains in another place, will shared hosting be sufficient for redirects, or do I need another dedicated server for this?

Thanks
Neevin

For money sites use dedi server....for all others cheapest shared hosting will work perfectly.

Hi All

Happy to share my progress which I feel has been accelerated due to the fact I already had a large network of affiliate & info based websites prior to my Pinterest journey....albeit lacking any real Google love :(

I have around 50+ Pinterest accounts in various stages of age & growth my most mature one is around 4 years old has 19k followers gets 5.4 million average monthly viewers and has 446k monthly engaged(info from Pinterest Analytics).

I have around 15 old information based sites which I primarily monetize using Media.net earning $60-$100/day the daily RPM varies between $0.90-$2.30/1000 impressions....these sites receive 16k-25k daily unique visitors generating up to 65k+ daily impressions.

I then have a network of around 175 affiliate ClickBank sites of which I use around 30-35 of the most suitable for Pinterest traffic typically these sites are all iframed to the CB vendors sales page other than the site homepages, some of these sites also use the JL Redirect method if the original CB site gets banned.

From the above network, including the Pinterest traffic sites I am typically generating 12k+ daily "hops" from which I achieve anywhere between 10-20 daily conversions.....

I work on a very simple premise....for impressions based income(info based sites) I want as much traffic as possible because it's purely a numbers based game, but for my CB sites I target the smaller niches that can safely stay under the Pinterest radar so if I can regularly get 50+ daily uniques per site from my affiliate sites I will be very happy....because that traffic converts, one of my very best performing CB sites get's less than 20 daily uniques but EVERYDAY generates 1-2 CB sales.

The final thing I will add is that Pinterest is really good for older sites particularly those that have suffered Google algo updates as SM2 is FANTASTIC at generating huge amounts of social backlinks which in turn improve your site metrics and start to get you more organic search traffic....which in turn leads to additional monetization opportunities.

I've asked this question before and gotten no answer.

It seems the only way forward is to create new accounts all the time and use redirects....

And seeing the rate at which they get closed down or limited in followers is hardly encouraging for me to want to invest money, time, and effort into this.

I've been stuck in this ceiling for a long time now. Pinterest certainly is a lot smarter than we think, and probably has some limiting factor algo that prevents growth....

You have to speculate to accumulate in all aspects of IM....stand still and automatically you move backwards  :-\

Does anyone know if pinterest tracks website ip? I'm thinking of this in terms of implementing the domain redirect script. Should the redirect domain be on a different ip from the money site?

ALL domain hosting information is available online whether by IP address, nameserver or hosting provider....you should therefore distance all the component parts of your Pinterest project as much as possible.

UPDATE:  I closed and restarted SM2 on the VPS and it has started pinning again. Unfortunately - didn't work on Home PC but then I didn't think it would since I've done a reboot in the meantime.
