hey guys I have begun to build up backlinks for my website through blog comments, however i want to make more of an impact and i was just wondering if anyone can advise me in how to continue gaining good backlinks. I am fairly inexperienced and new to this so i am unsure of backlinking methods. any replies welcome, thanks

Hi jswift

Here are a few things to get you started ->

FREE
1. Blog comments - Either good quality on topic answers or good quality on topic questions (Make sure any links are dofollow)
2. Forum posting - Either good quality posts or good quality on topic questions/answers. Keep your links in your sig file (5 posts here)
3. Article marketing - You can either write the articles yourself or use Jon's IAW3 (PLEASE read your article before submitting it to directories)

PAID
1. 1waylinks - More info in forum
2. 3waylinks - More info in forum
3. mywaylinks - More info in forum

If you're trying to do it for free then make sure that the link building looks natural to google and target different text phrases/landing pages in your bio boxes.
Two blog comments, two forum posts and one article every is 5 links a day which is 25 links a week on a five day week which is 1250 links a year with two weeks off and that is so very easy to do. Think long term and don't try to rush.

I'd say 1WayLinks is the best link building tool I've tried, I've gotten my investment back many times over since starting it.

Just remember in creating backlinks, QUALITY IS THE BEST OVER QUANTITY. Profile Linking is another method of creating backlinks.

ok thanks for the help guys, i will try this all out. thanks for the paid suggestions too i have been browsing for a service to do my linking for me as i am inexperienced, i even found a free trial from wejustlink

. when you say quality what do you mean? i will try and be long term as this sounds like the best way to build links as i don't want to spend all my time building links as it seems quite time consuming.

Diversity in the links is key, in everything: anchor text, pages been linked, images, web 2.0, directories, etc. Make it look natural. Don't rush; set a pace.

At the beggining try using free services.

I use a FREE service for bookmarking where you can build 25 backlinks every day from differents bookmarking sources. I would give you the link which is a REFERRAL link, not an affiliate link, meaning I do not get paid, because it is FREE.

There's an easy way to find solid blog commenting opportunities:

"Keyword" in Google search, then simply use their "Discussions" and "Blogs" feature in the sidebar. Alternatively you could use these search parameters:

keywords guest writer
keywords guest blog post writer
keywords submit content
keywords submit article
keywords submit post
keywords submit blog post
keywords add article
keywords add blog post
keywords add content
keywords guest blogger wanted

Finally, two other opportunities are to use Ann Smarty's "My Blog Guest" since it allows you to easily find guest posting opportunities, and the "SoloSEO" link search tool (soloseo.com/tools/linkSearch.html). All that does is allows you to find these sorts of opportunities easily by turning up a bunch of search queries you can then input into Google.

But it's easy (last tip) if you simply use the "Advanced Search" options at Google (look for those words by the search bar) and input what you're looking for into the form. Really simple. Hope it helps.

I've found article submission with TBS-spun articles still kills it, though. Blog commenting is fine (look for commentluv or keywordluv blogs), especially if you find the "sitewide" links like "top commentator" and "recent comments" etc. - but mashing articles out still does the trick in spades.

I joined up with "My Blog Guest" about a week ago - its free and its great! I haven't posted any articles there because I haven't had the time to produce the level of quality required as I would rather spend time spinning
