PR Backlink Question.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one to clear up my own confusion.

I am looking at a site for example XYZ. With software I see it has 10 backlinks. 1xPR4 , 4xPR1 and say 5xPR0

One site I am looking at has an article on Associated Content ( PR7 for the site. )

Yet the link to my article on AC shows as a backlink PR0.

So if I am correct articles on the high PR sites are for indexing quickly. To make those articles a higher PR you would build articles or links to the actual article itself to increase PR ??????????????????

XYZ site say is at No1 in google for a keyword term and has 1 PR4 backlink and 20 PR0 backlinks one presumes to try and attain a few high quality backlinks could beat this position?

I hope that all makes sense, and look forward to any replies.

I want to know my site have PR 1 so which are seo techniques available to getting good PR in the search engine because i have used it many times but it will not grow up ?

The answer is, you need to get more do follow link back to your site. Beside get link, you need to monitor click through rate and bounce rate, this can be solve by produce quality content.

The importance of PageRank is misunderstood as are the benefits of backlinks.

PageRank basically determines how often and how deeply a site gets crawled, rather than how well content ranks (of course, frequent and deep crawling can lead to more content getting indexed which can, in turn, lead to ranking opportunities).

Backlinks are not essential for improved PageRank and are often detrimental.

The keys to better authority (PageRank):

- unique and substantive content
- liberal use of internal links
- focused theme

I launched three new sites Sept 2011, all of which were PR0 (two were brand new domain registrations).

As of Google's latest PR update all three were up to PR4. Some of the inner pages are at 1, 2, and 3.

And I should mention that I have done nothing in terms of building backlinks. All three sites have a combined total of 15 or 20 external backlinks.
