Hi All

My problem appears to have cleared....one of my accounts had an issue whereby it kept creating multiple "running" requests which it looks like that was then blocking all other accounts from using the "running" function....I have removed the account to get it sorted out and now all 3 installs are working perfectly again :)

Just a thought....the limiting of the amount of "running" activities that can be done simultaneously could cause overall installs issues if a single account has problems....I know Jon changed this to optimize the software performance but it could slow down or stop all activities :(

The proxy used for the account with the problem was the issue....just switched to a fresh one (in the same US city), reloaded all the info and it is firing on all cylinders again!

I've tested all my proxies they seem to be just fine. Was able to roll my desktop back to 2.11 and all is well. Don't think I can do that on my VPS.

Thanks to Meg . . . I let the follow jobs run for hours, wrote down the # of following on each. After waiting for a few hours the numbers changed, they went down. Meaning unfollowing must have been happening.

I had added a new job after the update, and it is working fine. My thought was to delete the existing jobs and then add them back in. However, that was not necessary. As soon as I paused one of the running jobs I could see that 36 follows had occurred while it was in the "running" status.  :)

Since the last update I have the same issue. I tried uninstalling SM and restarting then downloading fresh and it loaded back up with the same accounts that refuse to post despite processing. I let it run for 24 hours and it didn't clear itself like others have reported.

Yep same here on my VPS

just updated to 2.132 from 2.11 and now the follow job is just saying running but doesnt update the numbers do not increase.
tried pausing, run now, and update, pause restart etc but refuses to change from running and doesn't increase the number of follows.

Proxies are fine. pin jobs are fine, worked fine in 2.11 until i was forced to update after a windows reboot.

will leave for a few hours to see if clears.

It's because it's trying to catch-up on unfollowing. 2.11 and prior were not properly unfollowing when any user an account was following got suspended (which happens frequently). Give it time. It should catch up after a few hours (24 hours max I would think) and get back on track.

yep next day all back to normal.

interesting just to see what happens during this period i restarted SM2 twice taking note of the number of overall follows,pins etc on the account page and the follow tab and even thou in the 24hour follow tab it showed as running permanently and never showed any incremental follows the account page follows went down at the first SM2 restart yet when restarted the follow tab immediately showed the incremental missing follows and then contimued to show running and didn't update the number again (until the next restart). so even thou it didn't show the new follows while permanently saying running, it obviously was continuing to follow as normal. the second restart the overall follows on the account page went up slightly as did the follow tab page, but still then said running.

but this morning was back to normal.

My account is going on days now after trying everything. It still will not pin. I compacted the database, tried uninstalling and installing multiple times, let it run for 2 days straight and at this point it's completely unusable. Yet on another machine it's running. Very frustrating especially with less than poor support when submitting a ticket.

Is it running on your own machine or on a VPS?

As you mentioned another machine, I assume your using proxies, if so, have you whitelisted the poxy in the proxies config dashboard for That machines IP or have you checked that that proxy is working

Jon, hopefully, you are working on an update fix.

I've shared some details in another thread, essentially 2.132 (and actually also the last recent updates) doesn't pin.

Every time I restart SM2, it would run 5-10 processes max and get stuck again on a pinSearch process.

Wasted a week with many emails to support but only 1 reply.

SM2 won't pin while the images are being updated with pinSearch. You have to be patient and let it finish.

I don't think it's a fix/update on the software side that you need.

how long is the wait anticipated to be? Especially there are currently many pin jobs in multiple accounts, will that be days? And if so, is this a one-time wait or it will recur subsequently, which will be a huge problem rendering the tool unusable.

Is there a solution or some recommendations of how perhaps we should stagger the pin jobs? Perhaps run fewer boards, etc? Didn't encounter this previously with few accounts.

is this related to the number of images returned? Some jobs have few hundred, while others have few thousand. Should we use fewer search keywords to avoid this problem? I'd prefer to have more images in a set-and-forget mode but need something that works.

Would be good if SM2 can 'skip ahead' to parallelly process other boards while 1 is 'stuck' in an update, it doesn't appear to be so currently.
