Export - Import
« on: February 14, 2017, 11:32:27 AM »
I had an installation of SM2 on an old pc which kept freezing so I created an Export file and Imported to my VPS install.

There were 2 Pinterest accounts.
The first account kept saying "You don't have permission to edit that board". I logged into the Pinterest account using the correct proxies and manually re-pinned. It's working fine.  I have re-added all of the account details - pw, proxies.

Now most of my campaigns are paused.

Any suggestions?

Go into each pin job and re-select the board it should be pinning to and then update. See if that fixes it.

Thanks Jon - 3 hours in and not pausing yet. I also deleted all of the Following jobs temporarily as they seemed to be gumming up the works. I'll restart the Following in a couple of days once I make sure the pins are working.

I started a Following job and it paused, then started pausing the pinning for that Pinterest account too. I'm not sure if it would have paused other pinning jobs because I deleted it immediately

since I've added more accounts to the VPS and it is pausing again - I wonder if I need to upgrade the VPS?

Would an under-powered VPS cause pinning and following jobs to Pause?

EDIT: I upgraded the VPS, it's a worthwhile upgrade.  Adsense is ticking along at $2+ a day. Not huge but encouraging.

I've messed up a few things along the way and it means I've got off to a slow start. Getting the right niches helps ... a lot.  I picked a few duds.

Hi all

I am having the exact same error. Namely:

account email address
pinCreate
You don't have permission to edit that board. [link on one of the boards]
3/4/2017 10:47 AM

I had this error initially a week ago after migrating the accounts to a new, faster, VPS and install of SM2. I raised a forum note about it then and was ultimately directed to this thread.

I have tried what Jon suggested - re-selecting the accounts to be posted to - and then tried running a posting job. I got the same error, which I posted above with my details taken out.

I would really appreciate some more suggestions. These 3 accounts have been running since October so I am keen not to lose them if at all possible. At this point in time they have not been posted to for over a week.

Thanks

David

Have you checked that the user name and password are correct? And that you have the IP proxy in correctly, with any proxy provider password or the VPS whitelisted with any proxy provider?

Hi Meg

Sorry for the late reply.

I used the import function from SM2 and what I can see in SM2, the details look correct.

I authorized the new VPS IP as well.

Not sure what else to check

David

No problem. It's just that the phrase, "you do not have permission ..." sounds like Pinterest doesn't recognise your username or password.

You need to re-select the board in the pin-jobs and then save the pin jobs again. That's the problem.

I really think the Follows has been an issue for me. I lost 6 sites very quickly and I put it down to either Following to fast (60-80 a day) or there is a glitch in the "Follows" tab.  I've taken all the Follows out and I've not Paused or lost a site since.

In terms of follows, could it be the niche? It may be there are some people in those niches who are very quick to try and get rid of competition by reporting others?

Thanks Jon - that appears to be working.

Fingers crossed we are back on track again
