How do I Know If My Website Is Blacklisted By Pinterest?
« on: March 11, 2017, 12:41:25 AM »
Hi, one of my Pinterest accounts was banned, but I am wondering if my website was banned from Pinterest too. Is there a way to find out that? I was thinking maybe I could create a new Pinterest  account with new IP and put the link to the same site there. Or maybe since my Pinterest account was banned it is a good idea to abandon that website as well?

Don't abandon the website unless you want. You can clone the site to a new domain name and promote that.

Will it be safe to clone my website? I mean Pinterest may see that the content on the website is the same (and structured the same way) that it was on the old one.

Any tips on how I can clone my website - is there some WP plugin or software to do that fast or maybe my hosting provider could do that?

Yes, there is a wordpress plugin called wpclone. I used that for one site and it worked well. It didn't work on a much bigger site. There are a couple of other plugins but I didn't know how to use them. One had a video "for beginners", but I couldn't make head nor tail of it. The beginners they had in mind must have lived on a different planet!

Thanks Meg, will check it out.

Still wondering though if there is a way to know if my money website was blacklisted by Pinterest once my Pinterest account was banned? Or maybe there is no need to know that and it is just safer not to use that same domain address on new Pinterest accounts, but rather go with site clone option and create new domain address?

Yes, just create another account and attempt to add a pin from your money site. If Pinterest lets you, it's not blocked. If they don't, it is.
