New account got suspended
« on: April 13, 2017, 05:22:13 AM »
Today I got my pinterest  account suspended . I had it up running just "follow jobs" and had 600 followers ( meanwhile contructing my site) and started pinning last week as 20pins/day  ... They banned account stating repetitive and unwanted content ..spam .... I had 250 custom images to pin from btw.

Now what can I do now ? Should i make another account and strt pinning images from pinterest rather than custom images? Or my site is banned permanently ?

If you were only pinning 250 images at 100 a day, that's definitely not good. You want enough images to spread over at least 7-10 days. If you simply don't have that many images, then either lower the daily pin count or setup a second job that pulls images from Pinterest and repins them with your target URLs.

Odds are your account was suspended but the site was not blocked. It's pretty unusual for them to do both. To know for sure just create a new account and try to pin a URL from your site manually. If Pinterest lets you, it's not blocked.

Recent update ... I made a new account added a pin to check if site was blocked or not turns out it was not ... This time I started pinning just 20pins/day as starter and 250/day follow job .. But It got banned today just after 24 hrs of pinning ... This time I was not pinning  customize images as well ... Is it the IP adress or site ?
Should I make a new account with different IP adress for the same site ? Or you suggest buying another domain ? Although I have this another account pinning for another site from the same ip since last six months and didn't got suspended .

I just had 20 accounts suspended of the 35 i built.  I was VERY careful when making them :-(  so now i think the problem is where i'm getting my proxies.... Or they are doing a whois on my domain names?

saw in a video Jon put out that they only have a 5% loss on account HOW CAN THAT BE AND WHAT DO I NEED TO DO DIFFERENT!

HELP PLEASE.

I just got 5 accounts banned in the last 5 days (burning 5 private proxies forever from Pinterest). I got this message for each ban below. The part about "saving lots of unwanted or repetitive stuff" seems like the only rational explanation for the bans as the others don't apply. I know SM2 downloads up to 1000 images per keyword entered. My suggestion to you Jon is to add a feature to allow less download images perhaps even have the amount of downloaded images to correlate to amount of pins the user has scheduled.  You understand?

For instance, say I want to pin 25 images to a board per day, have SM2 download may 50% +/- more images for a possible total of 38 for the day. Then a fresh 38 for the next day. This will keep accounts under the radar and much less susceptible to a ban.  I'm thinking something like this will prevent the ban issue.
