Are they each on different IPs that are geographically diverse (meaning not on 1.2.3.4 and 1.2.3.5 and 1.2.3.6 but further apart like 1.2.3.4 and 1.2.230.5 and 2.6.9.12)? Also, are you checking to make sure the pins are very well targeted to the site you're sending people to? And how quickly are you creating now accounts?

1. each on its own IP
2. the ip's are somewhat diverse
3. pins are targeted
4. i do about 5 to 10 accounts at a time all on different ip's

some accounts get blocked 10 to 30 seconds after making the account???

If the accounts are immediately blocked its because the proxy has already been burned. Are you using dedicated proxies? Even those could have been burned by a previous user but shared proxies are very often overused by spammers and blocked.

It definitely sounds like you hit on a bad batch of proxies.

You can check if your proxy ip is blacklist here: https://www.whatismyip.com/blacklist-check. This way you don't start with a bad ip.

That blacklist check is mostly for email SPAM blacklists. Even if it's not on that list that doesn't mean that Pinterest hasn't blocked the IP.

I just had 3 old accounts to be suspended. All accounts were following the new pinning guidelines outlined here on this thread. I am using my home computers and proxies to pin. What I have noticed is that I am now down to one account per proxy. I have a couple of questions.

1. Could Pinterest now use MAC address to detect and suspend accounts?
2. Does anyone know of software that will mask MAC address?
3. Does a VPS have a MAC address?

Hi There

Mac Addresses are not transmitted in TCP/IP packets so there is no way for Pinterest to see them.  The only info they will see is the IP and some info about the operating system and browser type (same you see in your websites logs).

Mac addresses are only used by machines on the same IP subnet, the machines use a process called ARP to get the mac address for an IP address, but this only works for machines on the same subnet.

Thanks Rob,

That blew that theory out of the water.

Hi Tk

I haven't had any accounts suspended for quite a while.  One thing I did do for the last batch of accounts I created was to connect them to a twitter account (to try to make them appear more natural).  None of these accounts have been suspended.  You can pick up twitter accounts for almost nothing.

I may have just been lucky but it may be worth trying for you if you are having problems.

Good Luck

Rob

Thanks,

I will give it a try.

I read somewhere that ebay and paypal was catching previous banned users by matching mac address. I found where if java is enabled on a computer the mac address can be detected. here is an example. http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/find-mac-address.php

Are you using one Twitter account per Pinterest account? Are the Twitter accounts related to the theme of your Pinterest account? Were the Twitter accounts "old" ones?
Thanks

Hi Meg

Yes it is one twitter account per Pinterest account.  I buy profiled USA twitter accounts from buyaccs.  I also use ifttt to post my pinterest posts to the twitter account.  To connect the twitter account you go to your account/profile settings-Social Networks in Pinterest.

None of these accounts have been suspended and as the twitter profiled pva accounts cost <50 cents each I am going to keep doing this.

Although I may just have had a lucky couple of months.

Good Luck
