Nothing is happening?
« on: March 17, 2017, 10:32:14 AM »

I have checked everything - the VPS is running fast - the brand new proxies are working fine (ie seeing speedy changes on the browser when going from one site to another inside the proxy) - the pinterest accounts (all three) are up and running and I have been inside all of them and played around so they are fine for sure - all business accounts.

Everything seems to be as it should be inside SM2. Setting all look fine.

Set everything back up running but NOTHING!

It says it is running but no change in the number of pins. No change in the number of follows.

What is going on? (except for the nothing that is going on).

I have waited over an hour to confirm that for real it isnt just that there may be some kind of delay.

I am at my wits end as to how to get this to work.

Support request please - SM2 breakdown!

If SM2 isn't pinning it's either a database corruption problem, a poor proxy problem, or your account is suspended.

It's easy to know if your Pinterest account is suspended. Just browse to the account page:

To know if it's a database corruption problem:

1. Go to the Processes tab, click the "Open Data Folder" button (that will open the data folder in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder).
2. Close SM2.
3. Rename SocialMultiplier2.sqlite to something else (e.g. SocialMultiplier2.bak.sqlite).
4. Open SM2 again.
5. Add your account back and add in the pin job.
6. Give it some time to gather some pins, then select the job and click the Run Now button.

If it pins, then it was a database corruption issue.

If the account isn't suspended, and it's not a database corruption issue, then it's the proxy.

It clearly must be a database corruption problem

One of those days (is a 'philosophical' way of putting it - itsnot frkn working! is more like how I would put it.

Im inside the VPS. I get that it may well require that i disable defender - can you talk me thru how to do that - I cannot find any access to it.

I tried going thru the way you suggestes and encountered a block on both options i have to hand.

1/ it suggests you update SM2 but then will not allow me to do so.

2/ follow your suggestoin which I have made a jing video of to show you why this is also not working.

I fervently request that you switch the sound off as i do swear (vehemently) at the end of this having encountered yet another dead end.

Any idea how to proceed would be gratefully received.

Beyond what I've already posted you'll need to put a ticket in with our help desk:

Breakthrough! I think it has fixed itself.

I returned to this issue 6am Saturday morning - go into the VPS and it appears to crash.  I waited a few minutes and go back in and it reboots quickly. The desktop is all as was.

The SM2 upgrade that I was not allowed to complete was allowed to go through and completed this time.

I open SM2 tentatively. The three accounts are still inside SM2.

The pins are registering activity - the two older ones on 40 and 44 pins repectively while the new account, my clients, for some reason has two entries in the pinning table, both saying 21 pins. These are good numbers that make sens, but not liking the double entry for my client's account.

Followings are also registering - one of my accounts (jewelry account) on 40, the other (a pokemon-related marketing account) on 31 - and my new client (who Ive set to a far lower number on both pins and follwings for now) is on 18. These figures all totally make sense ad are as they should be as far as I am concerned.

So ... looks like the issue was something to do with the VPS. When it crashed and rebooted the rebooting process fixed something. We dont really need to know what or how I dont suppose.

So looks like Im back up and running.

I removed one of the two pinning entries for the new account and put it on pause for now thinking it may have been running twice as fast as I'd set it to do by perhaps pinning twice. So I've popped it on pause for 6-12 hours and then I'm expecting it should be set off ok and everything will be working.

Good to get to the bottom of things and resolve issues as they arise. A good start to the day.

Have a good weekend. All the best
