Re: Question On Proxies

Hi Jon

I am currently using US Dedicated proxies for all my SM2 needs, but since starting I have suffered account losses which indicate that merely using dedicated proxies is not enough for Pinterest use.

You mentioned on a previous thread that the problem with Dedicated Proxies is that you cannot find out their history other than for email marketing....

Would you recommend using Virgin US Dedicated proxies for use with Pinterest?....I know that you have been asked specifically who you recommend and declined to provide recommendations, but would virgin proxies be a better product for SM2?.

Regards
Kevin

Here's what I've learned about proxies: if the proxy is "bad", the account is going to be suspended the instant you pin to it the first time with that proxy.

If Pinterest lets you pin for any period of time at all (especially dozens/hundreds/thousands of times across days), it's not the proxy that's causing the suspension. At least I can't imagine it would be.

I've also learned that a proxy flagged as "bad" doesn't stay marked that way forever, at least not all the time. I had some proxies that I had accounts suspended on and I figured I'd go back and try them again 3-4 months later. Sure enough, Pinterest let me run new accounts on that same IP. So apparently there's a point at which they are moved from the Pinterest blacklist.
