Microsoft NET Framework
« on: July 30, 2015, 03:49:22 AM »
Hi everyone. Sm is running really smooth now apart from 1 issue. Usually I leave it running overnight and when I check in the morning I have a pop up saying:

Unhanded exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quite, the application will close immediately. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Also it seems when this error occurs it stops all the schedules from running until i close the application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Next time it happens click the Details button and copy the entire error message into this thread.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Looks like your profiles file got corrupted.

Delete this file:

C:\Users\[WindowsUser]\AppData\Local\Social_Multiplier\Social Multiplier\1.0.0.0\pinterest_profiles.dat

Then restart SM and recreate your profiles.

I tried this solution and I am still getting the same error message

Any other solution?

I contacted them 2 days ago - no reply so far, they haven't reply.

The customer service is pretty bad.

I'm having the exact same problem and tried this too, it still doesn't work, this is clearly a common issue and there's nothing in the troubleshooting guide- can someone look into this please urgently as I can't use the software at all and I just bought it, I've submitted a ticket but there are others here saying they have submitted tickets with no reply.

I'm getting the same error message. I set up a couple of Pinterest accounts yesterday and started pinning manually because I wanted to make sure my boards were as high quality as possible. I tried using Social Multiplier for the first time to do some auto following and it won't even find boards. I push the find boards button and the error message pops up.

I submitted a support ticket so we'll see what happens, but if so many other people are having the same issue, I'm not sure what someone at a support desk is going to be able to do about it.
