Oh crap. When you say that I need .NET Framework 3.5 installed, I didn't know that you mean it verbatim. I installed the .NET Framework 4.0 at first, thinking that 4.0 is better than 3.5. But no, TBS literally needs version 3.5. You should mention it in the guide! I just wasted 40 minutes because of the incomplete documentation.

No, the latest version of TBS doesn't work on .NET Framework 4.0 (I installed both the extended and the client profile).

Seems like the .NET version 3.5 is hardcoded into the program. You literally must install the .NET Framework 3.5.1, even if you already have the .NET version 4.0.

I'm using Win Vista Home Premium, and almost every time I close TBS, I get an error message saying the program has experienced an error.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Can't you get this annoying message to stop happening?

I really want to use and like this product. But it keeps making me want to log back in and I'm getting the "Microsoft.NET Framework" error message. The troubleshooting guide says that my internet may be disconnected or my firewall is blocking it. I turned off AVG and my internet is obviously ok since I'm sitting here typing this now. I do have Hughesnet. Is there a known error with that?

I bought the product an hour ago and I want to cancel and lose my $7 and I don't want to be charged in 7 days if there's not a quick and easy resolution to this. Please advise of solutions and how to unsubscribe if I decide to do that.

If you are getting a mesage that says microsoft dot net is not installed, then check out this message on the forums http://jlforums.com/instant-article-wizard/troubleshooting-guide-read-this-before-posting-problems/msg27344/#msg27344 It refers to another of Jon's products but the message is still the same.

If you are just getting an error message about dot net, you could try RIGHT CLICKING the program wherever you have it (start menu or desktop) and "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR".

If you think it might be your antivirus, you could try adding TBS to its "allowed" list.

If both of these fail, try the restart from this page http://www.howtospinbest.com/tbsnotwork.html

I have never heard of hughesnet. Looking it up on Google, it seems to be satellite broadband? Does it create a proxy? TBS doesn't tend to work behind proxies, though some users have reported being able to use TOR.

Your other alternative is to contact helpdesk and see if they can help you. https://askjonleger.desk.com/

It will work on Mac if you use "parallels" or similar software. I do not use Mac but there have been people on here who do and who have been able to use TBS with their Mac but only with the Windows emulation software

 :o So I'm confuzzled

Sorry if I put this in the wrong part of the forum  but I'm confused and need help  :-[

I watched the first four videos and the advertisement video.

I included an article that I wanted to spin...no spintax or brackets just a bare article...

I went through the steps as mentioned in the videos and at first I got a "cannot spin" message then I hit ok I removed the article from TBS and then opened it back up and then I went through the steps to spin again and then I got a message about a missing bracket.

I read the troubleshooting guide and it basically says that it's caused by a spun article having a missing bracket but the article I was using was straight from content scraper saved in plain text format with no scraping at all...

So is there a problem with the spintax that TBS spun? How do I know what's causing it when the spintax which was in the article was from TBS?  ???

If the content was scraped from the internet, then it may not be plain text. It might LOOK like plain text, but may not be. Paste the original text into notepad and see if any odd characters appear, like rectangles, etc. TBS needs plain text.

Ahh so if you get it from content scraper it just scrapes it as is and doesn't make it strictly plain text.

I just scraped content then created the article in the context scraper tool.

From now on after I create the article in the tool - I'll copy and paste it as is into notepad and then I should be able to see if there is anything lurking that I couldn't see from the surface on the content scraper.

Is that the gist of what you were telling me?

Yes, exactly. There is a plain text editor that can change text into plain text. I THINK it's notepad++, not sure. It's free.
