unable to select multiple words/phrases
« on: December 17, 2009, 06:03:44 PM »
Jon,

I like the way this is set up but for some reason in my copy I am not able to pick and choose the words/phrases as you do in the tutorial. When I click on another word/phrase the selection color indicator ( which is gray in mine, not blue as in yours ) disappears and will only stay active on 1 item. Note: I am able to select multiples if I drag over them all but as you were doing in the demo sometimes you need to skip over some but want to catch the others and not loose the ones you selected initially. I am using Firefox and it just updated today.

Thanks

Are you holding down the CTRL key?

Jon,

Thanks it works fine with the control held down.

Is there some way to make the background behind the selected items blue like they are in the demo instead of the gray? Or is it my browser?

I don't know if I should start a new thread or just add to this one. If no one can answer me here, I'll assume no one read my question and post it in a new thread later.

I was having a similar problem as Dpar, and tried holding shift down, which worked, of course... but I am forced to choose ALL the words between the first and last in the chosen portion of the list. What if I don't want one or more of the words?

In other words, if I choose 3 words and want to skip the next word, then choose the following 2 or 3... how may I do that?

Thx!

That must be a browser issue.  It's blue in FireFox / IE (at least on my Windows machine).

Just hold down the CTRL key and click on the synonyms one at a time.
