Generate Spun Articles Not Working - Invalid 1k ZIP files
« on: September 09, 2013, 06:21:37 PM »
I'm trying to generate articles - using a CSV merge.  Whether I tell it to create separate articles or one long with a #break# it doesn't matter - it generates a tiny ZIP file that can't be extracted.

I've checked the spintax and it is balanced.

When I generate to a single document, the entire output is:   -1     ... that's it

I've seen other posts, but no resolution.

What's going on?  Does this not work anymore?

I take it you are using TBS3, not TBS2?

Do you have a number (numeral) starting your text? Do you have an ampersand (&) in your text. Those have been found to cause problems previously. When you say "CSV merge", are you using the data merge with TBS? This is the link to the short data merge booklet (6 page downloadable pdf) http://www.howtospinbest.com/datamergebooklet.pdf so you can check the method.

If it's none of these, you could put in a ticket at help desk https://askjonleger.desk.com/ or you could add another reply here. I would have a go at it for you but I will not be back at my desk for another 10 hours after posting this.

10 hours away from your pc (Unheard of)  :o

The forum will start to crumble and decay without your input  :D

Just some banter

LOL, not 10 hours away from the computer but 10 hours away from being able to do any spinning, etc. I am in university(!) at the moment and can log on to do comments or read but I try to make sure my time is wisely  ::) spent in here, ie for my future benefit. The forum and spinning is my fun and relaxation.  ;D Mind you, as I am already retired, I am not too sure what "future benefit" from that might entail. My next job may be internet marketing and my current studies don't really match that.  ;D

I was able to resolve it by re-creating the CSV file.  It was exactly the same - I typed both, copy & pasted content from one to the other.... For some reason it worked OK with version 2, but not with version 1.

Windows gremlins...

Thanks
