Don't worry Meg I have worked out how to change the words, I just highlight the indivdual words and it pops up with synonyms.

I shall now be able to spin to my hearts content.

Many many thanks.

That's great, glad it's working for you.  ;D

Here is the process I am using and it produces the same mistakes.  mine is a littlemore in depth i think, bit hopefully you can help solve this.

I am typing original paragraph and then making 2 variations like:

This is paragraph 1.  The original text. Multiple sentences.
Paragraph 2 goes here.  it is a variation of the above one.  It has many sentences.
As I am typing paragraph 3, I realize we can vary the number of sentences to make it appear different.  It also has a few sentences.  But a different number.

I then highlight the three paragraphs and spin them together and they will look like this:

{This is paragraph 1.  The original text. Multiple sentences.|Paragraph 2 goes here.  it is a variation of the above one.  It has many sentences.|As I am typing paragraph 3, I realize we can vary the number of sentences to make it appear different.  It also has a few sentences.  But a different number.}

So far so good...But when I try to write multiple versions of the sentences, it creates a strange brace effect that does not spin properly.  In the settings option I have sentence selection mode selected.  Using standard option I retype the sentence variations and click add.  It all looks good until I select sentence 2 in this case "The original text"  The sentence selection chooses this to be rewritten:

 }  The original text.

I think the fact that it is selecting the close brace from the previous sentence may be creating the problem.
Each subsequent sentence I select chooses the close brace from the previous sentence. once you get to a pipe it will select the close brace and then the pipe like this:

}|Paragraph 2 goes here.

The end result looks like the following if you work your way through the document.  It does not spin correctly.

{{This is paragraph 1.|Paragraph 1 goes here.|This is the best location for paragraph 1.{}  The original text.|This is another version of the original text.|This is the original text rewritten.{} Multiple sentences.|Several sentences.|This contains several sentences.{}|Paragraph 2 goes here.|This starts the 2nd paragraph.{}  it is a variation of the above one.|It simple restates the first paragraph.|This is a rewrite of the first paragraph sentence 1.{}  It has many sentences.|The are a few sentences.|It contains more than one sentence.{}|As I am typing paragraph 3, I realize we can vary the number of sentences to make it appear different.|While typing this version, I can see how important spinning is.|This is important to vary your sentence structure in paragraph 3.{}  It also has a few sentences.|Just change the number of sentences.|Changing the number of sentences makes it look different.{}  But a different number.|Making sure there are different number of sentences.|Then number of sentences should be different.}}

Sorry for the boring text, but it makes it easier for me to track what sentence is not spinning.  I read the comment about just turn off the sentence mode and highlight the sentence manually, but that would take a lot of effort in a long document.

Maybe I am doing it wrong, if so please try to explain the proper way to do it.  IF I am doing it correctly, maybe this should be  a"fix" that needs to be addressed.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I haven't been through this in detail but I have seen the same effect when I have been doing the same kind of work - I was including a spin bracket "{" or "}" incorrectly when adding additional sentences. If you are going to do complex spinning like this, why not use the spin wizard? It's a free add on to TBS and has its own forum board. It will allow you to spin first at paragraph level, then at sentence level, etc, without any "{", "}" or "|" in sight. It would allow you to do the paragraphs and sentences and then (I think) you can copy into TBS to finish off the words / phrases. I am not sure, because when I use The Spin Wizard, I do the whole job in there, right down to words / phrases BUT it can be quite a long process with a big article.

The other alternative is to use the magic wand at sentence level as well as where you are already using it - at paragraph level.
