Trouble with amazon parsing
« on: January 31, 2009, 01:42:14 PM »
For some reason no matter hard I try I cannot get all the box's correctly from amazon. It either jsut does the top 3 rows or it does everything under the top 3 rows correctly.

For example, put this url is WDP

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cheese-Knives-Cutlery-Kitchen-Home/b/ref=amb_link_45432265_7?ie=UTF8&node=10708001&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-6&pf_rd_r=1QA1HP22CBP0KWYDNJN3&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=192698891&pf_rd_i=11052681

Click on top left box to create the 1st grid, then click the up arrow. It will then create 3 boxes on the top 3 products. Now click the up arrow again it will then make the top 3 boxes into 1 big box, click it agin and it will make the rest of the page into big boxes.

No start again and click anywhere in the 2cond row of the 3 products click in the Richardson Sheffield Entertain Cheese Knife Set, 4 Piece field to craete a box. Not when you click the up arrow a few times it correctly box's all the items on the page except the top 3 rows again.

I also, thus cannot get the next function to work with amazon becuase of the issue I decribe above. I see in the saled page video you have a amazon filter so you must be getting something out of amazon.

Can you please explain how to make it corrrectly parse all the products and thus use the next function from amazon?

Thanks

You can't.  The way Amazon lays out their tables, the first 3 are in their own table, and the rest are in another table.  There's nothing  to be done about that I'm afraid.
