Has anyone seen this problem with WCA? Amin did everything he could to duplicate it but could not and therefore could not come up with any answers. I'm hoping someone out there has seen it and has a solution as it is getting very frustrating for me to use WCA.

For some reason on certain keywords I get an "Unhandled exception error" This usually happens when it is puling the data from Google (top listings, results, pr, etc.). It happens only on certain keywords and I can usually repeat it again and again. I cannot predict which keywords it is as number of words varies and text varies as well. Usually it seems that mostly it happens when the phrase is 3 words or longer.

I have tried two different laptops, two different operating systems, and two different routers. The only thing that I have not tried is a different ISP.

On occasion I also will get one that gives me a different exception error while pulling the data from Yahoo (backlinks).

I rely on WCA quite heavily and this has put a real bottle neck into my efforts. This just started within the last 3 months. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Here's the details of the main issue I'm having:

Unhandled exception....."conversion from string "1 result<NOBR> (0.18 seceonds)nb" to type 'Long' is not valid

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Tried WCA with 3 queries, "I need to study", "hire model tools" and "hire hobby model tools" (Because the first one was getting me the wrong kind of "models"  :o  ;D

No problem with any of these. Used USA

O/S Win XP SP3

LOL!

Try this one: replacing bruno stairlift batteries

It's one of my latest ones. I have not tried other countries, but I have tried changing number of results and the time to no avail.

Tried that one and got unhandled exception! Can't stop the program and when I tried to close, it says wait for it to finish! Used task manager to stop it.

BUT - tried replacing bruno stair lift batteries (space between stair and lift) and got results with 0.91 commercial intention! Go figure!  ???  ???  ???

It gets very frustrating when you have a big list of keywords and it's humming along and BAM! one of these shows up.  >:(

Yes, I get same hassle. Have to keep saving in-between individual searches to be sure I get everything. No point entering more than one phrase a time until this is fixed.

I am also getting the same error messages.

WCA is never able to complete a successful run because it keeps getting interrupted.

Okay, I've corrected this problem in v1.37.  I'm going to do a bit more maintenance coding and push this out in a bit.

Okay, this should be fixed and is pushed out.  Let me know if you still run into the problem.

Working ok for me now. Tried the bruno stairlift query (from above) and it flew through it.

Jon,

I haven't downloaded the fix yet but I wanted to say thanks for getting on top of it. I've been insanely busy with my J-O-B the last several days and this has been the first chance I've had to check in. I'll let you know what I've found.

OK.Downloaded the new file and it is now getting past the Google listings everytime now  :D

However, during the backlink checks it gives me a similar error.

Primarily it has been dolphin stairlifts with the current list I'm using. I did have one other crop up once but I have not seen it since. (also done on two different machines and OS's)

Here's additional info:

I am still getting the same error message.

Likewise with me. I always not able to close the software except I restart my system.
