Site Link Results
« on: April 01, 2011, 11:11:23 PM »
I am a little hazy about my understanding of the results given.  Backlinks vs. Site links.  Site links are representing how many links are discovered within the site itself?  How can it be in thousands?  Are those commercial sites having hundreds of pages within their own site?  Sorry for the dumb quesiton.  This always confuses me.

Sitelinks are all the links to all the pages in the site and backlinks for the specific webpage.

Hi joyce

The backlinks are the links to the particular page of the keyword eg. old time radio you have entered.

The site links are the total links to the whole site and as far as I understand will include internal links and external backlinks

Wikipedia - 201 links to old time radio page but 83,108,620 total site links purely because wikipedia is huge and lots of people link to their pages.

Hoping this helps

Thank you.  It is a bit daunting.  Still hard to fathom that many links!
